I opened my eyes and I was dazzled by gold and green. And with only a few things going through my brain.

Those thoughts were: Malaka! What just happened?! And why was I laying on leaves in twigs?! I then found breath in my lungs, which felt flattened. My senses had finally returned to me. There was gaudy glare from sunlight streaming down from a canopy of leaves above me. An object twitched close to my face. We were on a forest ground, apparently alone.

In case it wasn't obvious yet. We were not in Grimmauld Place.

For a split second. I thought we were in the Forbidden Forest. Even though we were wanted fugitives, I thought about sneaking off to Hagrid's Hut. But it was just a regular forest. Go figure.

I saw Hermione and Harry, also on their hands and knees, at Ron's head. And I realized what was happening. Blood drenched on the whole of Ron's left side and his face stood out, greyish white, against the leaf strewn earth.

"Ron!" I yelled but then I felt a sharp pain on my shoulder to realize there was blood coming from it. "Ow!"

"Oh, no! Kassie!" Hermione pulled me close. "You got splinched too!"

"Splinched?" I asked.

The horror dawned on me as she tore open Ron's shirt. And it was bad. Hermione lied Ron's upper arm, where a great chunk of flesh was missing, scooped cleanly away like a piece of meat cut open with a knife.

I looked at my wound that was now covering my shoulder red. It wasn't as big as Ron's, but it still wasn't pretty.

"Harry, quickly in my bag, there's a bottle labelled 'Essence of Dittany'-" Hermione ordered.

"Bag- right-" Harry sped over to where Hermione had landed, and seized the tiny beaded bag, and he began tearing through thing after thing.

"Kassie, try to lie down. Okay. Don't move." Hermione instructed me.

And I lied down next to Ron.

"Quickly!" Hermione yelled.

"Accio Dittany!" Harry called. He grabbed a small brown bottle zoomed out of the bag and he hastened back to Hermione, Ron, and I whose eyes were not half closed, strips of white eyeball that were visible between Ron's lids.

But then Ron's eyes suddenly lit back up again. Anubis must've taken over. He looked over at the wound. "Well... that's unfortunate." He commented.

"Anubis, I'm so sorry! I tried to- and-" Hermione's voice and hands started to shake. "Unstopper it for me, Harry! My hands are shaking!"

"Hermione. Don't panic." Anubis said calmly. "This is just a momentary set back."

Harry wrenched the stopper off the little bottle, Hermione took it and poured three drops of the potion onto the bleeding wound. Greenish smoke billowed upward and when it had cleared, the bleeding stopped. The wound now looked several days out. New skin stretched over what was just open flesh.

Hermione then moved over to me, and poured drops over my bleeding wound. "Kassie, this is going to sting a little."

I saw green smoke billow upward. And it had a burning sensation. "OW! OW!"

"Sorry." Hermione whimpered. "It was all I felt safe doing. There are spells that would put you and Ron completely right, but I don't dare try in case I do them wrong and cause more damage... you lost blood. But at least it's not as much as Ron's."

Well at least my wound was gone as my looked now at my healed arm. "How did we get hurt?" I asked, my voice shaking. "Why are we here? Where's Grimmauld Place?"
