Nottingham. (Ethan P.O.V)
I could hear brooms flying overhead. The sounds of triumph and power cheering through all of us. At long last, the Dark Dragon Erathor had fallen. And the Fortress of Tyranny and Oppression, Azkaban was no more.
"I always said that Prison was the worst mistake we ever made." Shacklebolt commented.
"I guess it's back to the Prison Forts for us now." Jacob said sitting next to us. He then poured some glasses of Fire Whiskey for all of us. "One for ya, Little Brother?" He asked. Almost nearly everyone looked at me.
"Jacob. Leaders of Rebellion can't be seen drinking on the job." I reminded Jacob. I then looked around the room. "SO NOBODY LOOK!" I yelled.
And everyone raised their glasses around. And we all took a drink.
"To the end of Azkaban and the new age of Justice in the Wizarding World!" I toasted.
"Cheers." Everyone cheered.
"You know something?" Barnaby asked suddenly.
"What's that, Barnaby?" Shacklebolt asked. "Sage."
"Couldn't we just... and this is just a suggestion..." Barnaby started to say. "We have the ability to manipulate memories... and obliviate minds. So... why don't we just take the Death Eaters and other Criminals that we do capture... and alter their memories so they don't remember that they're Death Eaters. Instant Rehabilitation!" He suggested.
And I looked around at the room. It sounded so brilliant. And yet... so obvious that we would never consider something like that before. And I could tell Jacob and Shacklebolt felt the same way.
"We've been starting that process in Japan as a matter of fact. Surprised that the West hasn't initiated that yet." Takumi commented.
"Well, first thing after we tear down the Death Eater Regime... we'll be sure to put that into effect." Shacklebolt assured.
"Speaking of new Regime and all of that... who's going to... you know? Lead on? Take the reins as Minister?" Chiara asked from the corner.
"I think it should be Ethan." Charlie suggested.
And a couple of nodding heads nodded in approval. But the feeling made me easy. I didn't really have the intention of becoming Minister. I wasn't leading the Rebellion to build a new government with me at the helm. I just wanted to fight to keep everyone safe. I wasn't a Political Man.
"A generous offer. But I can't just neglect my family for politics. I'm not going to do that to Penny and Sean." I denied. "And... the..." I couldn't finish that sentence. I got an Owl from overseas. From Penny. She told me how much she and Sean missed me. And I that was how I also learned that Penny was pregnant. And if the letter was right. She was carrying twins. "Especially since we'll have 3 kids-"
Before anyone could respond, I was interrupted by Miach who walked through the door. Talk about being saved by the bell.
"From what my Father told me, is that being a Father is the most difficult part of any man. But also the most rewarding." Miach commented.
"Oh, it's you. How long were you standing there?" I asked awkwardly.
"Long enough." Miach answered. "I've returned. And I've brought the Celtic Army with me. Along with my Father. As well as the Elder Druid."
"Great. Where is he?" Jacob asked.
"He's outside with our forces." Miach answered. I also noticed that there was an Old Man in a Robe and a long beard and a long staff with him. It didn't take a genius to know that the Old Man was the Elder Druid.
