We arrived at a house to which we had to drive a good hour.
Jungkook had fallen asleep on the way, but he held my hand the whole time.
I tried to free my hand from his, which was really difficult.

When I freed my hand, I tried to wake him up, which was difficult and laborious.
His eyelids fluttered open and he looked at me dreamily.
"Let's get your surprise."

Now his eyelids shot open and he immediately jumped out of the car.
I got out, too, smiling.
We were now standing in front of a beautiful house.
I took Jungkooks hand again and together we walked to the front door.
I rang the bell and shortly thereafter an elderly woman opened it.
"Ah, you must be Mr. Kim Taehyung, isn't it?"

I nodded.
"Exactly and this is Jungkook."

"Nice to meet you. So the special surprise is for you, yes?"
He nodded reluctantly and pressed himself against me.
"Sorry, he's very shy."

It wasn't entirely a lie, since he was probably shy too, but I couldn't tell her that he was afraid of other people.
"Oh all right, come in."

She stepped aside so we could enter.
We were led into a kitchen by the older woman.
Jungkook widened his eyes at the dogs everywhere.
At this point he definitly knew the surprise was a dog.
He hated being alone and I couldn't ask anyone to babysit Jungkook since he was afraid of everyone, so I thought about it and decided to buy a dog.
"Come on, you can choose one."

Jungkook left me and ran to the dogs.
He didn't seem to care anymore that a stranger was with us in the room.
I sat down with the woman at her coffee table and drank coffee with her while Jungkook played with all the dogs in the huge garden that could be seen from the kitchen window.
