I was so caught up in my thoughts that I didn't notice I had arrived at home.

I carefully put the boy on the floor to open the door.
I quickly picked him up off the floor again to take him to my bedroom and lay him on my bed.
I didn't care that my bed would get dirty from his clothes.

I covered him with my thick blanket, in which he immediately snuggled up.
His face was flushed from crying, which somehow made him look cuter.

Since he was so scared of me in the alley, I didn't think laying down next to him was a good idea.
So this meant that I had to lie down on my sofa.

I took a quick shower and then sat down in the kitchen to drink my coffee.
I quickly fell back into my thoughts.
I kept thinking about theories as to what might have happened to the boy.
The injuries I could see on his neck must have been from someone else.
But who would do that to him?

Maybe he was bullied at school, or maybe he had a fight with someone?
Wouldn't he have open wounds instead of bruises and purple spots or scars?
According to the scars, whatever happened was going on for a very long time.

I didn't realize how quickly the time passed.
The cup that previously held the coffee was pretty much empty.

I yawned before just pulling off my pants, throwing them onto a chair and laying on my sofa throwing a thin blanket over my Body.
I stayed on my phone for a while before falling into a dreamless sleep.
