Tattoos & piercings

Jungkook had always talked about getting a tattoo. Several actually. The hyungs worried about it a lot. Not because they didn't want him to get them- they did! They wanted their youngest to be able to express himself, but South Korea wasn't as forgiving. Tattoos have always been a controversial subject in their country of origin. They didn't want their maknae to face the intense backlash that could be K-Media, antis, and government.

Jungkook knew all about the controversy as much as his hyungs did; however, there was something about tattoos that fascinated the maknae. He wanted one; one that reminded him of ARMY. And let's be honest... Jungkook kind of wanted to be a rebel. He was a stubborn man! So tattoos would be the biggest "fuck you, I don't care" statement in South Korea. And he liked that. So, during their extended summer break in 2019, Jungkook decided to officiate the dream and got his very first tattoos on his hand: ARMY, a J above the M from ARMY, a few plus signs, the official ARMY logo, a crown, the woozy emoji, and their debut date.

The members were impressed he followed up with his ideas. When he debuted the tattoos, the fans absolutely blew up. A lot of them liked them. Some of course didn't, but there were very few of those people. What surprised the hyungs the most about this: he planned on getting more! He started his sleeve and the hyungs were not only impressed, they respected him- Jimin especially.

Jimin had a tattoo or two, but he didn't have the guts to do more than he already had. Jungkook, however, kept going... and going until his whole arm was filled. Eventually, he had a whole sleeve complete of tattoos, full of different stories and personal significance.

"Hyungs!" Jungkook called after he came home from his tattoo appointment.

The six older boys came around the corner to see Jungkook.

"What is it?" Namjoon asked, leaning against the wall.

Jungkook took off his sweatshirt to show his finished sleeve.

"What do you think?"

The hyungs gasped in awe as they investigated his arm. His whole arm was covered with ink. There were so many small tattoos. Some they understood, others they asked for the significance.

"Wow! Jungkook this is amazing," Taehyung responded.

"These are beautiful, JK!" Hobi shouted happily.

"Ah, maknae, I love them!" Jin exclaimed.

"Very cool," Yoongi nodded.

"I absolutely love them, Jungkookie," Jimin chuckled, admiring the eye tattoo.

Jungkook gave his classic bunny smile to everyone. Jin gave the maknae a hug and a ruffle of his hair.

"You realize the controversy you might cause, though, right?" Namjoon asked.

The leader wanted to make sure he was aware of the potential backlash. He didn't want his maknae to crumble under hate.

Jungkook smirked a little, biting his lip as he feigned innocence, "Of course, hyung."

Jimin and Taehyung knew that look of Jungkook's and laughed slightly.

Jin narrowed his eyes, "What was that look for?"

The maknae laughed slightly as he kicked the ground, "No reason."

The hyung line raised a brow at that while the other maknaes laughed more.
