I decided to wake up when I realised I couldn't go back to sleep again.
I don't even need to look at the clock because I already know it's 5 am.
I always wake up at 5 am, I don't know why...I got up from my bed and I decided to take a shower straight away like I always do.
After my relaxing cold shower, I got dressed and stepped out of my bathroom.
I glanced at Brian's sleepy body. He'll probably wake up at 7 am...
Brian's my best friend and my roommate. His practically my brother... The brother I've always wanted but never had till I met him.
We've been friends since I moved to Montreal from London.I arranged my books neatly in my backpack.
"Good morning Jay." I turned to glance at Brian rubbing his eyes.
"Wow! you up early today. What's the occasion?" I sarcastically remarked.
He rolled his eyes and stood up from his bed. He walked directly to the bathroom with just his boxers.
"You won't stay mad at me forever." I joked.
While Brian was taking a shower I went to the cafeteria to get us breakfast. The food in McGill is scrumptious...
I strolled back into my room with two cups of coffee and two plates of food.
I set up the table for us to eat breakfast, and Brian sauntered out of the bathroom fully dressed.
"Breakfast is ready!" I proclaimed with a welcoming smile.
"Thanks, buddy." He answered and he immediately started eating.
"Hmm, macaroni and cheese, this is delicious...." I disclosed.
Brian laughed. "I agree."
My phone suddenly started ringing.
I took my phone from my bed and answered the call without looking at the caller ID."Hello."
"Jayden how are you?"
"I'm fine, how are you, Mom?" I responded.
"I'm okay, I just miss you a lot." She sounds strange for some reason.
"Mom, have you been drinking, let me rephrase my question who were you with last night?" I inquired.
"I was with a friend why?" She innocently replied.
"You were with Daniel, weren't you?" I declared.
"Yes, and what's wrong with that? His my friend and I like spending time with him."
"So you and Daniel were drinking last night, how could he let you drink?"
My blood is boiling..... And I can feel the anger building up...
"I didn't call you to argue over something so frivolous Jayden." My Mom voiced and immediately hung up before I could even respond to what she just said.
I sighed as I threw my phone on my bed.
"You don't like this Daniel guy," Brian blurted out.
"No that's not it. I don't have a problem with him, he seems like a really good guy but I don't like that he allows my mom to drink when he knows how much that affects her." I indicated.
"Just give her time. " Brian advised.
"Let's get ready for class or we'll be late." I changed the topic.
