CHAPTER ELEVEN
I eventually began to walk forward, away from the base.
All I could see was endless sand, just like the endless rocks from before. Soon, I could look behind and see no base. I saw already dying of thirst, let alone hunger.
So I'm going to die here, I thought.
I walked until my feet ached. I walked until I had to crawl.
Soon, I just lay on the ground. I barely kept my eyes open. My feet ached so much that they felt numb, my arms could not move at all, in fact, my whole entire body was numb, except my stomach and mouth.
My mouth was as dry as chalk dust. My lips were swollen and crackled. My throat was dry and I could not even produce spit anymore.
My stomach was small and aching more than anything else. It was rumbling and growling like a storm, and sent me large signals that I had to eat.
I was completly sunburned everywhere. My skin was red and crackling, and it hurt to move a muscle.
Luck always finds me at the worst moments.
ZZOOOOOOMMM!
Despite of the pain, I jumped and looked into the sky. A jet plane was landing right in front of me. It had an American flag on it.
You may think that's how my journey ended.
I wish I could go back in time and tell the pilot what would have happened.
I was almost dead when the pilot brought me inside. Soon, I woke up because the pilot gave water and some crackers. My ears popped as we dove in the air. I didn't bother to say thank you.
We were only on the plane for a few minutes before the incident happened.
BOOM!!!!!
