Chapter Nine

CHAPTER NINE

I woke up about the third time.

I was in a bed. Probably a hospital. I had bandages and tubes.

The Americans were nice enough to rescue me, but they were still too late. I still had intense pain. What if this wasn't the Americans? What if this was the Iraq?

At the time, I realized it must be the Americans because there were posters that had English, and the hospital was pretty five star, much better than the one star room the Iraq forced me to go to. I'm glad I never had to sleep in that room, because I think I saw beetles in there.

When I woke up in the hospital, that was the end of my second journey. I was in an American hospital, and they took me back to my mother after about a week. I kind of lied about what happened so she wouldn't be so scared.

I didn't have a third journey for a long time. The second journey was in 2002, I think. I spent four years living in peace, working at a bad job. (McDonalds.)

Finally, in 2006, my third journey began to start.

I was getting tired of my job, so I asked to be recruited back to the hunters. After many pleads and begs, they agreed. I was pretty happy, but the pay was lower for me now since I was fired before. Still, It was a great job.

We didn't go on a huge mission again, and there were no bombs involved in my third journey.

You want to know what happened?

At night, when I was training, I began to hear short screams. Gun shots. Helicopters.

Before I could react, terrorists ran in and tackled me. I tried to fight back, but I couldn't. They put a form of sleeping pill in my mouth.

When I woke up in the terrorist's helicopter, It took me a moment to figure out that my third journey started.

I was handcuffed to the legs of the seats. A terrorist was pointing a gun at me, so I knew I couldn't move.

I saw other helicopters out the window, and I think I saw Robert, my friend from the training.

How could the Americans let this happen right in front of their eyes?

How?

All of us, every single one of us, was being kidnapped.
