🐯 𝐚𝐭𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐡𝐢 𝐧𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐣𝐢𝐦𝐚 ☆ ͡

• throughout the end of November you would see atsushi looking out the windows when it was on a train, the agency windows or even walking around he'd look out cause the bright lights– the happy faces of families when christmas was coming

• atsushi didn't really understood the concept of christmas at first but it did intrigued him and he wants to experience "the true meaning of this christmas spirit"

• seeing as atsushi had never experienced a christmas, you wanted to for something him- not too big cause he's a very anxious fellow but something big enough to let him know he's cared for cause he has the biggest heart for someone who has been through so much you wonder how was it possible for someone like him still have a kind hearted soul within

• so you worked many hours in the agency and even did dazai's missing reports for extra cash. you even managed to get extra work outside of the agency and worked late nights which consisted of you coming in the next morning exhausted, the agency noticed they said to take some days off but you declined

• after weeks and weeks of hard work you managed to save enough money to have a nice gift for atsushi (and kyouka)

• the night before you made sure atsushi and kyouka were heavily asleep (gave them extra food to be sure they slept) and started working you were very excited couldn't keep yourself ahold of the excitement but you had to

• that morning kyouka ans atsushi were confused as to why the small apartment smelled so nice– together they walked down and were met with a nice meal on the small table that was filled with their delicious and favorite meals. a small decent tree in the corner (which kyouka helped) and presents under the tree

• passing a gift to atsushi you told him how you appreciate and care for him that lead to atsushi crying like a child again you felt bad but he insisted that he's happy crying tears of joy. he opened the gift and smiled, a nice jacket/sweater and (insert random thing cause idk wtf he would like 💀)

🐰 𝐢𝐳𝐮𝐦𝐢 𝐤𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐤𝐚 ☆ ͡

• like atsushi, kyouka had no idea what christmas was like at all– atsushi at least knew about it but Izumi not a clue :(

• truly hurt that kyouka didn't have an ounce of clue– you wanted to do something extra special for her as well along with atsushi

• since it was hard to work longer hours than expected cause everytime you returned home kyouka was still barely awake her hair slightly messy, the bags under her eyes were starting to be noticeable and she'd always had a hot tea ready for you
