Your skin looks so smooth and beautiful!!!

Maids and butlers rushed around all of them. Bring more water and food. It was chaos. But it was a welcoming chaos. One everyone missed. Everything would be fine...

Everything would go back to normal...

✩•̩̩*˚ Crescent ˚*•̩̩͙✩

A smile spread on his face. He felt like a little kid who had gotten their first gift as soon as they woke up in the morning. He couldn't sit still. He kept accommodating himself, As he 'stared' around. Or moved his face towards whatever he could hear. Such as his parents talking with the doctor. Or his sister just sitting there and whispering the most random things at him. Especially jokes. There were lots of really bad jokes going on.

(I AM NOT A DOCTOR, please don't follow this advice or info. I did my research but it could be wrong)

"Okay, Prince Crescent" the doctor suddenly said "I shall take the eye bandage off, but Prince please hear me out.
You shall not read for long periods of time and avoid reading anything at a far distance. Do not strain your eyes. And make sure to avoid bright lights for at least a week" the doctor explained.

"Eye?" Crescent asked. "As in, singular eye!?"

"Prince Crescent, you are lucky that you can still see"

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY JUST EYE" Crescent snapped.

"Please your highness, hear me out"

A hand was placed on his shoulder. Crescent did nothing. He kept silent and to himself. He just couldn't believe it. He had really hoped he had gotten lucky. That he would only have a scar left and that everything would be alright.

"You are blind in one of your eyes. You've lost your left eye, completely. Only a scar remains now, one that spreads across your face" the doctor explained.

Crescent sat in silence.

He sat in silence. Drinking a mug of tea. It has been a year... winter once again reached the Amaris. Crescent wasn't allowed outside his room alone for long periods of time. He put bandages on his lost eye. Ashamed of the scar he had. A King should be perfect. Both mentally and physically.

His hands were wrapped tightly around the warm mug in his hands. Crescent only stared down at the tea. Watching the water still itself before he gently tipped the mug forward, stopped it, and brought it back up. Then he repeated the process over and over again. He hadn't been doing it for long, the mug was still warm. And from the tea, vapour is still slowly suspended in the air. It looked like a small white cloud. One that felt like Crescent was in control of. He finally controlled something... after losing so much.

A breeze passed by, making Crescent shudder. He huffed in annoyance and closed his eyes. Lately, it was oddly silent in the kingdom.

"You'll get a cold if you stay out here" A voice came.

He hadn't heard from that person in so much time. Gradient.

"Hello General Gradient"

"Hello King Crescent" she greeted back.

She slowly walked forward and sat on a chair in front of him. Crescent felt relieved. Her kingdom and his had strengthened their alliance, and she had become general of their 'shared' army. A small army both kingdoms had created as protection for the armies. Things were weird and his sister, Miyako and her soon-to-be-wife (Periwinkle) were helping Crescent a lot.

With all this eye problem, Crescent was taking quite a while to heal. And his other eye got tired more quickly. Creating it harder for him to read as fast and efficiently as possible.

Gradient extended her arms and guided Crescent's arm. She guided him to lower the mug with tea. Still warm, but it would last for long. She smiled gently at him. She had her uniform on right now. Maybe she was in the Amaris Kingdom due to business and had decided to pass by.

She helped him to get up. And proceeded to guide him toward the balcony. Both stood side by side. She still held his hand.

"I know it's hard right now... and... that period of time still affects us," Gradient said gently, "But you need to become the king you promised Crescent"

Crescent looked down. He knew this talk. Everyone related to the Royal family had probably given it to him at least twice. And now... Gradient had joined them.

"I'll be staying here for around six months... maybe more" Gradient suddenly says. Crescent looked up and towards her. And then adds "I can help you get back on your feet and show people who you truly are, I know you're going through something right now, and it'll be hard... but I promise to be here" she whispered.

Crescent looked over to Gradient. His eyes wide. A small smile came on his face. Tears gathered in his only guy. He slowly reached his hands upward and slowly removed the eye patch.

Gradient looked up at him and smiled. It had been the first time that he took off that eyepatch since he didn't need to stay under the royal doctor's care. Both held hands before looking toward the beautiful kingdom in front of them.
