today was their first day in paris, kenzie had no idea what they had planned today but she was starving so she hoped it involved food.

their private driver took them to a restaurant, and the little amount of french kenzie took in high school did not help.

"it's french for crepe land." joe said looking at the sign. he reads colleen hoover, plays football, and can understand french? it could only get better if he could speak french.

"bonjour, bienvenue au pays des crepes. table pour deux?" the hostess asked as joe nodded with a smile. "par ici."

(hi, welcome to crepe land. table for two? right this way.)

"votre serveur sera à vos côtés." the hostess said before walking away.

(your waiter will be right with you.)

"do you speak french, too?" kenzie asked joe, knowing that he understands the language.

"je fais, je l'ai pris au collège." joe said looking at the girl's confused expression. "mais en ce moment je suis à paris avec une belle fille et elle a les plus beaux yeux de tous les temps et je pourrais m'y perdre pendant des heures.

(i do, i took it in college. but right now i am in paris with a beautiful girl and she has the most beautiful eyes ever and i could get lost in them for ages.)

"i understood none of that." kenzie said with a smile shaking her head. making joe chuckle as well.

although kenzie felt terrible for what izzy and travis had to be dealing with right now, kenzie didn't really care too much.

that was a problem for when she got home. but right now, she was enjoying falling head over heels for the boy in front of her.

she was watching him as he talked about the things he loved while they were waiting for their crepes to arrive.

"that conversion," joe said shaking his head in disbelief at his own actions. "was actually amazing. don't know how we pulled it off."

kenzie was just looking at him with a smile. she noticed that whenever he talked passionately about something, his dimples showed more, and his eyes were a lighter shade of green.

is this what falling in love feels like?

when you can't breath around them, sometimes your heart skips 8 beats at once around. but if they were meant to be, they would've been by now, right?
