"Knock, knock" Y/n sang as she waited for Adrien to open his door. "Good morning" he smiled at her but noticed the present in her hand "whats that?" He asked, and she handed him the present.
Adrien sat on the bed almost immediately beginning to open the gift. It was a black bracelet "wow...it's beautiful " he said and looked at the bracelet and noticed how it had his name was engraved on the bracelet in a green font. "I wanted us to match so I got a similar one" Y/n said and showed him hers, her bracelet was a golden color and her name was in a (F/c) font.
Adrien got up and pulled Y/n into a hug "...thank you" Y/n who had been living with the Agreste family for quite some time now had gotten used to Adrien's surprise hugs but still hasn't gathered the courage to hug back, so instead of hugging him she would just pat his arms in reassurances. 'Baby steps' she constantly reminded herself.
"Can you help me put it on?" He asked and she nodded. "Lets sit down thought its much more easier" she said and the two sat on the bed.
Y/n grabbed the bracelet "which hand do you want it on?" she asked and he looked at her wrist and noticed that it was on her right. "left please" he said and she nodded. She grabbed his hand and put the bracelet around but the bracelet couldn't seem to lock, and she grew more frustrated as time passed.
She scooted closer to him so she could get a better look, Adrien stayed silent the whole time not wanting to disturb her concentration. "sorry, these things are so hard to lock" Y/n said once she was successful able to lock it. "Its no problem" he smiled and looked at the bracelet.
She looked up at him and it was at that moment that he realized how close they were. "I-its really beautiful thank you" he said, and she hummed "thats not your only present, I have like two more" she said and he looked at her surprised "w-what?"
Knock
"Mr. Adrien it's time for breakfast" Natalie said behind the door.
"Coming" Adrien said as he looked at Y/n with a confused glance. "Why didn't she call your name?" he asked "I ate beforehand" she responded not wanting to admit that she didn't want to be there with his dad because of how bone-chilling terrified she always felt with him around, they were business partners sure but Mr. Agreste terrifies her to another level.
"Oh, okay" he smiled at her "I'll see you later" she said, and he waved her goodbye as he exited the room.
Y/n looked around and her eyes settled onto the pool table '...I'm so getting a rematch' she thought furrowing her eyebrows remembering her major loss in the game. She got up and left the room making sure she closed it before she returned back to her room.
She opened her room's door and was instantly met with the sound of the news playing. "Y/n? Did Adrien already leave?" Tikki asked the girl seeing her finally back. Y/n nodded "he just left for school actually" she said while closing the door.
"Has anything happened?" Y/n asked sitting on the couch. Tikki shook her head "nothing but we still need to be on alert if anything suddenly happens" Tikki said in a firm tone, and the two faced the tv. Waiting for any news that could use the help of Ladybug and Chat Noir.
