S2: The collector (pt. Two)

Authors note: (I realized that I made a mistake so I'm gonna explain it really quick. In the show Adrien is the one who took the book and ended up losing it I guess, I don't really remember it well. In my story that all happens minus the book going missing. When Adrien was in school he was called for early dismissal. When he arrived home Nathalie took him to his room where Gabriel was waiting, Nathalie showed the video of Adrien taking the book and Gabriel punished Adrien by not letting him go to school for the next few days. Adrien gave back the book and a while later told Y/n of the events)

I opened the book and flipped through a couple of pages, the book was filled with superhero drawings and symbols. "Master Fu, this book is just filled with drawings of old supeheroes and symbols" I said disappointed and Master Fu smiled as he placed the miraculous box into the gramophone.

"Not strange to a Guardian. Back in the days, I was never given the opportunity to even have a look at it. But I've been taught enough to be able to partially decipher the code." I looked back at the book again and handed it to Master Fu.

"These pages contain various spells capable of giving Ladybug and Cat Noir special abilities, we haven't known until now." He flipped through the pages, he landed on the ladybug page and we both looked at it for a while.

"Obviously, this book is invaluable. I always believed whoever possessed this spell book must also have the peacock and the butterfly Miraculous." I froze when Master Fu explained the possibility of the owner being Hawmoth.

"Gabriel Agreste.." I mumbled but Master Fu heard me and turned his attention to me, "the fashion designer?" I nodded, it was certainly a possibility. That explains why I felt so afraid around him, why he never leaves his house, and him being the owner of this book.

"Y/n, if you are certain it is Gabriel Agreste who is behind this, you should investaige more.." Master Fu said and I nodded "it should be easy since I'm living in his house.." Master Fu sighed "yes but I worry.." I looked at him confused, why would he be worried. Me living in the Agreste household would be easier for us to get more information.

Master Fu saw my confused state and smiled "Y/n, have you ever thought that you living in the Agreste household for too long might raise suspicion or might lead to Mr. Agreste finding out your ladybug one day?"

Master Fu was right, Mr. Agreste already thought it was weird for me to live in Paris when the design's he's working on isn't going to available for quite some time and Ladybug showing up shortly after my arrival must mean he's suspected me being ladybug at least once.

Authors note: (in case any of you forgot, Y/n is in Paris for a future project with Adrien she has to do. She uses this project as a cover up for why she's actually in Paris, to be ladybug. I'm sure you all already know the project because it's shown much later in the show, there's no need to mention this project all that much but remember that this project is a cover up for why Y/n is in Paris)

I slowly nodded "you're right, but I don't have anywhere else to stay in Paris. I could technically buy a house but wouldn't that raise more suspicion in some way?" Master Fu shook his head. "No, it's perfect. You can tell Mr. Agreste that since the project won't be done until the near future you don't wish to take up any more of their house space. You can ask your parents if it's alright to use some of the money you earned over the years and put it into buying a house."

"Okay, I could do that but how will I be able to keep tabs on Mr. Agreste if I'm not living with them anymore." Master Fu looked at me dumbfounded like he had expected me to already know the answer.
