SETBACK

It was the next morning that Raina set her entire plan into action, she had figured out a way to get out the mess and she sure as hell was going to use every trick in the book to make sure the plan becomes fruitful. She would have to be careful, so as to not let Aryan get even a hint of what was going on. He has brought about a storm in his life, a storm that would uproot her with itself if it were required.

"Good morning.", Raina wished Aryan. Ever since she had come back from her trip from last night her behavior was irking Aryan, it was itching him, slowly scratching away at him till he was bleeding. Something about her demeanor told him that she was onto something but what was it? What was it that she had cooked up in her mind? He needed to know, it was a must that he knew.

"Whatever you're cooking up in that big brain of yours, drop it. Its not going to work, you and I are tied together till the end of time.", he gave her a smug look and he held her waist slightly. Raina only smiled in return and said, "I'm cooking up anything. Nothing at all."

"You better not."

"I want to go the Durga Devi temple today, would you take me today please?"

"You want me to take you?"

"Yes, I want you to take me.", the entire plan depended on him visiting the temple. 

"Your wish is my command."

"Why did you want to come here anyway?"

"Puja, what else?'

"Aren't you like supposed to be an atheist?"

"Why would you think that?"

"Dont know. Never saw you praying or anything, never took you to be a believer."

"Well there's a lot of things you dont know.", Raina looked down at her thali and sighed.

"I forgot something wait here. Ill be back in five."

"But-"

"I will not run off, Aryan."

Ill just drive you away.

Raina had gone off to bring something when someone approached Aryan.

Sana stood there in a beautiful chikaankari suit. She looked as if she had fallen from heaven, she looked like the Sana he had first seen in the same setting.

"Hi Aryan.", Aryan clenched his jaw. What was she doing here?

"What am i doing here? I come here every Thursday, did you forget? "

"How could I?", he answered sarcastically. He was about to scoot away from her when she caught his wrist.

"Can we talk?", he eyed her hand as if to give a warning to take her hands off him.

"There's nothing left to talk. You and I are done."

"Over that wife of yours, the one you doesn't deserve you?"

"She's way more deserving than you think she is. "

"I'm just saying what you had once said Aryan. Do you really not have any feelings left for me? Look me in my eyes and say you don't. Say that I don't mean anything to you.", with a stone cold face he faced her, looked her dead in the eyes and said, "You don't mean anything to me, you stopped meaning anything when you decided to sleep with that bastard."

"It was a mistake. You had been so caught up with your divorce business-"

"That you decided to sleep with someone else. You are such a -"

"I am not a whore. It was an impulsive mistake, I swear to god. I love you."

"But I don't love you. Now that i look back on it i don't think I ever did."

"So who do you love?"

"That i don't need to answer to you."

"That dickhead's going to pop off if he gets to know about what you're doing.", Raina's friend almost screamed through the phone.

"That is if he knows, which he wont. She's gonna get what she wants and i am going to get what i want. Its a win-win."

"Sure is love but be careful, i mean he is not the most cool headed man out there."

"Yes, now have to hang up ,gotta go back."

Raina hung up and walked up to Aryan, he was busy talking to someone on the phone when he turned to her and gave her a smile which couldnt help but uncomfortably return. 

Did she come up to you?Did she?

They both prayed and headed for their apartment. They were half way through when Aryan cleared his throat and began, "Look, Raina .We started on a wrong note but i dont want any secrets between us from now on. I saw Sana today at the temple and truth be told seeing her again made me realize i never loved to begin with and made me more sure about the fact that its you that i want."

Raina just nodded as her mind began spiraling out of control. This was not supposed to happen, he was not supposed to bring up Sana, atleast not so soon! But she was not going to back off so easily, this was a minor setback not even a setback if you think about it like that. He is going to have to take her back. HE WILL HAVE TO!

He took her hand in his and whispered, "Its me and you, just us two."

Raina tried pulling her hand back but in vain, his grip was firm yet soft. It was making her more fidgety as the moments went by.

"You can let go of my hand, I mean its not like Im gonna jump from a running car."

"Cant rule out the possibility love.", he knew she had been putting up a facade but what for he was oblivious too. 

"True, Im ready to loose an arm and a leg if it means getting away from you, prick.", she whispered to herself.

"The prick you're stuck with." ,she turned red as she realized he had heard her.

"Just beat it! No one wants to be defeate-", Raina turned around and came to a standstill as she pulled her headphones down from her head.

Aryan had a playful smile on his face as he walked up to Raina , held her face in his hands as he placed a fluttering kiss on her lips. 

"You look unbelievably adorable when you're flustered.", he looked at her with his gorgeous pair of eyes
