Raina was flabbergasted at what Aryan had just said, she straightened herself and stood in a commanding position and said," How dare you bring my father into this?!"
Aryan took his menacing steps towards Raina, just as a predator would do before jumping on its prey. He was assessing her every move, the sweat droplets trickling down her scrunched brow as her hands were bowled in a fist. There were traces of the old insecure Raina left, something he could exploit in that moment. He would use these cracks in her new character to bring her crumbling down again, if it would bring her back to him. His lips twitched upwards and he said, "I shall drag the entire world into this if that is what it takes."
"Tell me what the fuck do you want?!"
"You."
"I have had enough of your bullshit, go ahead and tell my father. What then will you achieve? Me? No way in hell."
"You are being selfish Raina. You will risk the life of your father just for the sake of your ego?"
"Get out Aryan! Just Leave!"
Aryan leaned in and whispered, "Wait and watch."
He stepped back and left the room. Raina fell down on her bed, thinking about what was going to go down. What would Aryan do? Why was he doing this? To get back at her?

(Same Day, After the wedding ceremony)
Raina was not in the state of mind to enjoy her friend's wedding. The constant fear of hearing something bad was tugging at her entire body, there was inkling of a storm but no other hint of it. The suspense was eating her heart out and she couldn't do anything more. Shells of her newer self were falling apart, allowing the voices to grow louder. On the pretext of having a stomachache, Raina excused herself from the premises. Joey insisted on dropping her but she assured she would be fine, borderline threatening him to stay and have fun. She couldn't rope people in on her misery. She would have to handle things on her own. As her bosom touched silky sheets, for a moment she thought things would be fine. Just then her phone rang, it was her mom. She pushed aside her quilt and picked her phone up and answered the call. For a moment everything went silent, except for the mechanical clock ticking in the background, increasing her anxiety as the second hand moved from one to the other. Her mom feebly asked, "Why did Aryan call your papa?". Raina's throat went dry.
"Is papa fine?"
"Why did Aryan call you father and tell him you guys were having problems? He got all worked up. We had to bring him to the hospital. You know he is old and cant handle these things. What does Aryan want now?"
Raina's heart stopped at the thought of what Aryan could do next, "Ill call you back mom. "
She searched up the number that she had not looked at for the last year or so. She fingers shook as she called him up. Before she could utter a word, his raspy baritone rang from the other side," About time. If you want to save your father from future visits to the hospital, get in white Benz that's waiting for you downstairs."
With that, he hung up the phone. Raina clenched her phone in her hands as she forced herself down the stairs and into the white Benz that was waiting for her. As the car passed through streets, raindrops knocked against the glass windows. Too bad she couldn't let them in and let them soak her. Too bad they were not there to hide her tears.
*Flashback*
Raina and Aryan were heading home in his black range rover. He turned his head towards Raina and said, "Cant you just keep your mouth shut for a moment?"
