Abu 'Abd al-Rahman 'Abdullah bin Mas'ud, radiyallahu 'anhu, reported: The Messenger of Allah, sallallahu 'alayhi wasallam, the most truthful, the most trusted, told us:

"Verily the creation of any one of you takes place when he is assembled in his mother's womb; for forty days he is as a drop of fluid, then it becomes a clot for a similar period. Thereafter, it is a lump looking like it has been chewed for a similar period. Then an angel is sent to him, who breathes the ruh (spirit) into him. This Angel is commanded to write Four decrees: that he writes down his provision (rizq), his life span, his deeds, and whether he will be among the wretched or the blessed.

I swear by Allah - there is no God but He - one of you may perform the deeds of the people of Paradise till there is naught but an arm's length between him and it, when that which has been written will outstrip him so that he performs the deeds of the people of the Hell Fire; one of you may perform the deeds of the people of the Hell Fire, till there is naught but an arm's length between him and it, when that which has been written will overtake him so that he performs the deeds of the people of Paradise and enters therein."

The most annoying sound in the world wakes her up, aka the alarm clock with the radar sound that all iPhone users know the pain of. Although it took her 5 alarms to wake up because you know, everyone knows 1 alarm never does the trick.

Aysha is still lying on the prayer mat she had used for subh, having unknowingly dozed off. Can't say that was the first time, there is something oddly comfortable about sleeping on prayer mats right after praying.

It is 9:30 am, meaning everyone should be awake by now, since most people can not sleep through the hustle and bustle of the wedding preparations, that's if some even slept at all. She drags herself from her room to the room across of hers which is Hafsat's, who is still asleep with the curtains drawn closed so tightly the only light peeking in to the room is coming from the hallway.

She contemplates whether to let her sleep some more but she finally decides to wake her up, which in her own way is opening the curtains and turning on the lights to make the room as bright as possible, because you know, no sane person could sleep with so much brightness.

A deep grumble comes from Hafsat in the middle of the bed and she tries to drag the duvet to cover her eyes but Aysha is too quick to drag down the duvet from her entire body leaving her exposed to the cold coming from the AC.

"Get up, you need to get ready" Aysha says sitting down on the bed next to her, Hafsat raised up her head looking quite muderous, "better leave this room before I kill you for waking me up like this" she hisses which quite frankly scares Aysha as she jumped up and hightailed out of the room back to hers. Okay, sleepy Hafsat is no fun and really scary.

She takes her bath before dressing up in an orange atampa that has a peplum style and she matches it with a matching veil. She brings out her more than necessary and really large makeup box and starts putting on makeup. All those time she stayed up on YouTube watching makeup toturials and trying them at odd hours of the day and the three month course she did, is finally paying off, She goes with a nude look but then adds a bit of glitter on the inner corner of her eyes for a pop. She quickly wraps her scarf in a complicated turban and drapes the veil around her before grabbing her bag of the bed.

Making sure she has all the necessary things in her bag, atm cards and all, she leaves the room. She and Hadiza are going to the tailors shop to get the dresses they're wearing today which is actually a backup dress they ordered three days ago. Their actual dresses are currently tossed in the bin, well not literally, after they saw Maryam Aminu's bridesmaid in the same dresses, as if wearing the same dresses with some other people from another different we'd wasn't enough it had to be her, the girl they hated the most, so that dress was a hard pass and they had to rush to order another design in such a short span of time.

Their house is filled to the brim and for a big house like their that was A LOT of people, she tries to find her mom but with such large crowd all around it's next to impossible so she sends her a quick text about going out before she leaves.  The driver is dropping her off at Hadiza's house and from there Hadiza will drive them up to the tailors shop, since she can drive and loves driving.

She sends her a message to check if she's up and when she didn't answer she calls her which equally goes unanswered which means she is still asleep. When she gets to the house, she decides to stop by mummy's room to greet her, mummy being Hadiza's mom. She quietly knocks on the door before she hears a muffled 'come in'.

"Good morning mummy" she greets her cheerfully, going over to where she is sitting on the love chair to hug her. She is as close to mummy as she is to her own mother, in all cases she is her other mother.

"Good morning. How are you sweetheart?" She asks equally cheerful patting her on her back. Mummy is beautiful and Fulani, which is how Hadiza got her long hair which Aysha deeply envied. No that her hair isn't long but Hadiza got hers easily because of her genes while Aysha had to do the long and extensive healthy hair regime just to get her hair that long.

"I'm good, ya hayaniyan baqi?" Most of the wedding guests were at Aysha's but mummy still gets her own share of guests trooping over from their house.
'Toh Alhamdulillah"

Mummy forces her to eat breakfast with her after she found out she hadn't eaten yet, so they eat while Aysha tells her the funny story of how she got late to the reception, not the part where Fahad picked her up and how they later fought in the car though.

She runs to go and check on hadiza afterwards, faint snoring can be heard from the bed, Aysha turns on the bedside lamp faintly illuminating the room. She looks at her and knowing she is such a deep sleeper she knows she'll suffer before she wakes up so she chooses the easy way out. She brings out her phone and selects a random heavy metal song and turns the volume to the highest, she brings the phone near Hadiza's ear and plays it.

"Ahhh!" She shouts, nearly falling down the bed and knocking Aysha off. She is confused for a second before her senses fully come back and she turns to Aysha who is busy laughing.

"Ke dallah, what's this mana?" She glares at her, with a deep scowl on her face.
"Says someone that is supposed to be ready by now so we can go and collect our dresses" she says with a raised eyebrow, her arms crossed while she taps one foot on the floor.

She hisses before trudging to the bathroom to get ready. Aysha brings out her phone scrolling through her social media's timeline to kill time while Hadiza gets ready. She is nearly dozing off when Hadiza comes out in a bathrobe ready to dress up.

"You take too long to shower, sai kace mai changing skin" she complains, if she didn't have to get fitted for the dress to see if they are any adjustments needed she wouldn't have bothered to leave her house or her bed even.

After wasting more time than necessary she finally gets to drag Hadiza out of the house.
