Artemis: Good morning, Citizens. We will begin this daily news broadcast with the national anthem.

<National Anthem plays>

Artemis: Thank you. This is Reporter Artemis for Section 3 of the Upper Quarter.

It is great news that our hardworking Scientists have discovered a way to prevent the terrible disease that has begun to spread. We do not know the cause of it yet, but our team is working extra hard to find out as much as we can about it. We have heard that a new program is being launched soon: the Virus Testing Program. It has been funded heavily by the Leader, we have him to thank.

Artemis: Passing over to your Crime Reporter, Alex.

Alex: Thank you, Artemis. Good morning, this is Reporter Alex for Section 5 of the Upper Quarter. There has been a disturbing crime near the West and Upper Quarter border - a man was found dead yesterday at a community centre. He was later identified as Chief Petrov of the Upper Quarter. The Police Force suspects murder and anyone with information are urged to report to the Crime Reporting Number shown below. Chief Petrov was a respected member of our community and his family has announced that there will be a large sum of money for whoever puts the offender in prison.

There was one witness at the time and they claim that there was a young man and woman near the community centre. They were described as worn down and 'poor looking'. Here are computer-generated sketches of the description given by the witness. While we cannot assume they are guilty of said crime, we are interested in questioning them. Anyone who knows about their whereabouts should contact us or the Police Force immediately.

Artemis: I really do hope that the perpetrator is found because we're falling in the low-crime world rankings. We cannot allow ourselves to fall lower than the other Countries; it wouldn't look good for us.

Well, that's it for today's Citizen News on Channel Nine, we'll see you tomorrow. In the words of our Leader, optima vindicta ingens est.

<Translation shown on screen: The best revenge is massive success>

Off-screen Artemis: Do you think we should've told them that there isn't actually a reward?

Off-screen Alex: No, the Citizens need the incentive. They wouldn't know that Chief Petrov has no family anyway. As long as they believe there is a reward, they will be on the lookout for criminal behaviour and it will help our rankings. It also helps their morality and it would look good in our world rankings. I've already consulted with some Scientists who specialise in this sort of field - they agree.

Off-screen Artemis: I guess that makes sense...
