It all started when Mario dated Rosalina after Peach divorce Mario and sent him a restraining order on him. Before she dated her, Mario was sad that Peach had given him a restraining order on him so that he couldn't get near her. He was upset about it and told Black Yoshi to find him a new girlfriend for him to date. Some of the women Black Yoshi had seen didn't make Mario happy and caused him to reject them. However, when Black Yoshi shows Mario that he found Rosalina, it immediately makes Mario fall in love with her.
Black Yoshi asks him if he's sure she's the right girl for him to date since he believes that Rosalina might not be a good idea to date her. But Mario doesn't listen to Black Yoshi and wants to date Rosalina due to her appearance since Mario finds her hot. Since Mario started dating her for her looks, not for her personality, he thought his relationship with her would go well, unlike his previous lover, his ex-wife. At first, his relationship with Rosalina was going fine, and nothing too serious happened. But it all changed when Jeffy, a teenage boy, showed up at Mario's apartment without any note on his shirt.
That is where Rosalina and Mario's relationship, especially her behavior, began to change. Rosalina loved Jeffy deeply, but Mario, on the other hand, was different and tried everything to eliminate Jeffy. At first, he tries to get rid of Jeffy by abandoning him at the park, but it backfires when Rosalina threatens to break up with him if he doesn't find him. She also tries to break up with him if he tries to get rid of him. It made Mario not happy and forced them to take care of him.
Jeffy did some actions that made Mario made, like throwing green beans, swearing, etc. He tried to discipline Jeffy, but Rosalina scolded Mario for being too mean to Jeffy. In his mind, Mario's conscious voice tells him that Rosalina is stupid since parents are supposed to discipline kids when they misbehave. Mario's conscience tells him to break up with Rosalina since she's not a good fit for Mario and how she's worse than his ex-wife. Mario, as usual, doesn't listen to his conscience and keeps dating Rosalina so he won't be lonely without a girlfriend again.
As time goes by, Mario notices that Rosalina is slowly taking Jeffy's side whenever he does something terrible to him. Not only is she taking Jeffy's side, she sometimes guilt-trips him whenever she thinks he has done something terrible or accuses him of cheating. Mario was forced to apologize to her or Jeffy when he did that was something mean or did something mean to Jeffy as well. Inside his mind, he's slowly losing his patience towards Jeffy when he behaves and when Rosalina returns to her sweet self before she turns into a complete bitch towards him. However, when a time where he gives Jeffy a cell phone and Jeffy uses it to call a prostitute that made Rosalina furiously beats Mario for accusing him of cheating on her.
That is where Mario was beginning to have a breaking point of where he should've put Jeffy into a foster home and broken up with Rosalina for accusing him of something he didn't do. He knew Jeffy would need to be more trustworthy about having a phone in the first place. But Rosalina, as usual, made Mario get Jeffy a phone since Jeffy might need it in an emergency. As the days pass, Mario tries his hardest to hide his true colors so Rosalina wouldn't break up with him for hating Jeffy and how he only likes her for her looks. It was ok for Mario until everything changed for their life one day.
Not only will it change his life, but it will also change his relationship with some of his friends, especially Rosalina, Jeffy, and, surprisingly, Goodman. When Mario was heading to the store to get a new lightbulb, he saw the homeless guy come in front of his car, and he yelled at the hobo and called him a "faggot." Now since Mario said the homophobe words out loud that Jeffy could hear them, he began to imitate the word and kept telling the offensive word over and over. Mario tells Jeffy to stop saying that nasty word, but as usual, he doesn't listen and disobeys Mario and keeps saying the dirty mouth. As he went inside the store, Mario was looking for a white bulb, and Tyrone, as usual, wanted him to buy the black lights so that Mario wouldn't be a racist.
