Shortly after Kaiden killed Koga, the rest of the ronin bandits surrendered and begged for mercy. With the orders from the Shogun herself, they were then put in chains and were to transfer to Inazuma city to put in their cells. While they waited for the carts and other soldiers to arrive, the people of Ranbiro cheered for the Shogun and the Tenryou Commission's samurai. Both the young and the old thanked them for rescuing them. Since Raiden Shogun was the leader or the literal Archon of Electro, most of them thanked her while the others were also being thanked but not in the same league as Raiden Shogun's praises.
Tired from their appreciation, the Shogun then cleared her throat making everyone in the village look at her and give her their undivided attention. She spoke out to them. "My people, for as long as I and the Tenryou Commission exist, we will not let events like this ever happen again. When I get back, I will add more security to every village even here. But for now, I wish the men to train and protect your village."
The people were in awe of her and they clapped and cheered for her. Even though it was all a suggestion to her, but to them. It was a direct order. Some of the men who volunteered to do this picked up the bandits' own weapons and began training immediately.
Raiden Shogun was pleased when she saw how motivated her people were, after that little promise, she heads to where Kaiden and Inoue were, the two of them were resting in one of the buildings. The building itself was a bakeshop, and though the storeowner was nowhere to be found, both Kaiden and Inoue uses it for a little rest and healing. A few battle wounds, Inoue gained while Kaiden did have a few scratches himself. Some of the women of the village were patching their wounds with bandages and the like.
As soon as the Shogun herself entered the bakeshop, the women were already finished with their task and went to look for other injured soldiers to tend to. They bowed down as Raiden enters and leaves immediately.
"A fine work you two," The Shogun praises them. "The plan was risky If I have anything to say about it."
"Yeah, Shogun-sama's right. That was a tough battle," Inoue said as she rotates her right arm, feeling a little stiff from all of that swinging and stabbing. "Still, it was a good strategy, I guess." She then looks at Kaiden who stares at her and Inoue went back to her old self. She threw a rolled-up bandage at Kaiden and the former colonel caught it. "Don't mistake that praise for anything else. I still don't acknowledge or accept you into our ranks."
"That's fine," Kaiden said. "I don't really want to be working with the enemy faction."
"What was that?!" Inoue couldn't believe he said that. "Then why did you even come?"
Kaiden then points to the Shogun and Inoue understood what happened. She just sighed and went silent as the Shogun herself was actually busy looking at the bread being displayed that she didn't notice that Kaiden was pointing at her. It was already late, instead of going back to Inazuma city, the Shogun along with the unanimous vote of basically everyone including the villagers and the soldiers had stayed with the village for tonight.
Early this morning the village was attacked by an organized ronin attack and was conquered, In the afternoon, several of those villagers were assaulted, sexually harassed, tortured, and whatever else, and now, just on the very same day in the evening. They were all celebrating. Having a large feast in honor of the Shogun and an appreciation to the Tenryou Commission. Fear in the morning, despair in the afternoon, and finally joys in the evening. People would normally be confused about that but not in this village.
Sings and praises all around, on every corner in the street you can find people making noises by singing or playing instruments native to Inazuma, on the side note. There were others who were celebrating while they recover.
