Shortly after the Renaisian men finished their singing, in one of the tents in the base on Watatsumi Island, Shigaraki Omura, and his soldiers stayed, and as soon as they heard cheering from the Renaisian side, Omura sighed. One of the bodyguards of Shigaraki asked a question to his co-worker.
"I have to wonder, why would they sing a song that they want to go home. They must be demoralized?" He asked.
Then the guard next to him answered. "Well, I heard that none of these guys are raw recruits. Most if not all of them are veterans in the Steppes."
"I see. I can understand why they want to go back, even for just this month."
Annoyed with their talking, Shigaraki sighed, looked back at them, and asked. "Are you two finished?"
"Yes, Shigaraki-sama!" Both answered in unison and saluted.
"Good," Shigaraki said.
Their merriment continued throughout the whole evening and when morning came, the men from both the Shigaraki clan and the Renaisian soldiers prepared for an attack though the winter season was still not yet over, even still. They must keep themselves warm and strengthen their connections between Inazuma and Renais for supply and rations. Several airships come and go; some of them were attacked during their voyage by the soldiers from Inazuma and/or bandits, and some of their supplies were lost. Receiving this message, General Beckett wasn't worried, even for a bit. He then ordered the supplies to be smuggled instead.
Seeing as the snow melted and the green grasses started sprouting again. Standing on top of a hill overlooking a massive army that was formed by the Sangonomiya Clan. General Beckett, with just one word...
"Attack."
He ordered several Dragoon knights to attack as they were the vanguard. The one leading the Sangonimiya clan's army was a man by the name of Seiwa, an old balding man who had years of experience warring with the Tenryou Commission, smirked as the dragoon knights charged. He looked back at his men and nodded his head. The Sangonomiya clan's soldiers then pulled something from the ground, wooden spikes that reached up to twenty feet, and had wooden shields covering the ones lifting those weapons to try and defend themselves from their bullets.
Seeing this, Shigaraki Omura was surprised. "Beckett-sama! Please, call off your men! They'll die!"
"Is that genuine concern for my men in your tone, Mr. Shigaraki or are you just afraid of losing?" He rebutted with a question.
"What?! Are you implying that I am a coward!? We're going to lose men and this isn't even the main army of Inazuma!"
"Yes, I know," He said. "Now calm down, Old man. Do you know why I specifically ordered the dragoon knights to be the vanguard?" He looks at Omura but the patriarch of the Shigaraki clan didn't say anything. Sighing to himself, he said. "You should be paying attention, three months we waited, and yet you didn't bother to learn? Whatever have you been doing?" He asked another rhetorical question. "Just watch."
Omura did as he was told to do and see that the Dragoon knights weren't stopping but instead, they continued to charge while aiming at the shields as soon as they got into range, they pulled the trigger, and the musket ball was launched from the musket so fast and so strong that it penetrated the shield and kills the soldiers who were lifting the spears. Seiwa, in all his experience as a soldier, did not imagine this, and as soon as the spears fell to the ground, the other soldiers from the Sangonomiya clan tried to lift it but they were too late, they instead walked in front to their deaths.
Each of the dragoon knights trusted their bayonets while others stabbed them using their sabers instead. Seeing this, Beckett signaled the rest of the soldiers to attack. From behind both him and Shigaraki Omura, both the foot soldiers from the Shigaraki Clan and the Renaisian empire charged and fought ferociously. The soldiers from the Sangonomiya clan also fought as hard as they could but unfortunately, they were overwhelmed, they only had around twenty-thousand soldiers while the Renaisians with the Shigaraki clan soldiers combined, they have around forty-thousand soldiers, doubled what the Sangonomiya clan's soldiers could muster in the battlefield today.
