It had been weeks after you found out where you were giving you time to adjust. Seeing how the city was still in fact standing, you figured out that the story hadn't even started compared to the amount of destruction each battle caused.
You had started to live in a small apartment near ('what a coincidence' you deadpanned sarcastically) Pigsy's noodles.
It wasn't that difficult for you to get into a proper college/university which you only went to on weekends. (Colleges like that do exist)
Now for a job.
If you have read many fan fiction the first thing that they do is get a job in Pigsy'.
But not you.
You want to be as far away from the chaos as possible.
So you got a job in a small library below your apartment.
It was kind of like how Mk lived in the series but with less chaos and cleaner.
The library was managed by a woman around your age or maybe she was older than you by a few years.
But she was really beautiful. Only to you, that is.
But that's a story for another chapter.
Lately, you noticed how a certain person wearing circular glasses a robe and a scarf came by often.
You noticed how he only researched about the history and myths of China. He was quite the dedicated researcher to Monkey King.
He was able to match the proper dates of history and myths, matching them to prove his point that the Journey to the West did happen.
It was quite admirable.
You didn't notice that you were staring but apparently, he did. Which did amuse him.
Your stare wasn't at all creepy.
It was a stare of curiosity. He thought you were like a child who just wants to know about everything parents do.
One day he caught you staring again and decided to ask whether you were interested in myths and legends as well.
You turned red in embarrassment but sheepishly replied a 'yes'.
He was the first person you had talked to in a while. He offered you an invitation to come to 'Pigsy's Noodles' so that he could tell you all about the stories and legends.
'Journey to the West' was a novel of one hundred chapters that you never got the time to read.
You just got the gist of it from watching the series.
You didn't even know what it was till you watched the series.
You were a bit hesitant at first but knowing that you won't get the time later to ever know about Sun Wukong's stories you agreed.
And now here you were, walking towards the famous restaurant, with nerves of steel, "Why did I agree to this?"
You entered the shop.
One mistake and a whole lot of chain of events with me messed up if you were involved. You were lucky enough for the story not to even start yet...
"Break...Break! There is no break in war! I need workers, soldiers in the army of 'Piggy's Noodles'! a home for the world's longest noodles! How else am I gonna expand my business in the enemy's territory?!" Pigsy shouted while pointing his spoon up.
Never Mind. The universe sure hates you.
"Uhhh... Do you mean across the street?" Mk questioned as he pointed at another noodle restaurant across the street that was owned by another boar.
