Ch.3- A Hero is Born Pt.2

"Very tight," You heard Mk comment as he tried to squeeze in for some space. 

"Pigsy watch where you're going! You're going to kill us!" Mr Tang yelled. 

"Yeah! We gotta get to Flower Fruit Mountain without getting smooshed in a car crash," MK took out his book and turned the page to show a drawing of 'Flower Fruit Mountain'. 

"All we need to do is drive through an entire ocean, simple!" Mk shrugged.

"You do realise that's a whole ocean across... right?" You asked beside him while he struggled to adjust beside you for a seat.

"...Right." Mk awkwardly agreed, "I am Mk."

"I am [Y/n]." You smiled.

"So, why did you agree to join us? You know it's going to be dangerous."

"I always wanted to know about the real Journey to the West but never got to know... say does this van have a seatbelt?"

"What do you mean by 'real'...?"

Mei gasped as she showed everyone her phone, "Guys! Demon Bull King had moved downtown, He's destroying the cheese tea stalls!" Mei exclaimed in panic.

Mk nodded, "All the more reason to get the staff back to Monkey King; Flower Fruit Mountain!" "It's the only place he could be! Right, Mr Tang?" He questioned.

Mr Tang hummed and pushed his glasses behind him, "Indeed, however, Flower Fruit Mountain is hidden away in deep and dangerous and unknown territory... So I guess we better turn back!" he exclaimed and nervously chuckled. 

"What?!" Mk and Mei shouted.

"But you just gave a whole monologue of why I should join you guys with 100 reasons and most of them being completely useless." You pointed it out.

"Better to forget them now than later, right?" Mr Tang laughed awkwardly.

"Oh shut it you, big baby!" Pigsy shoved Mr Tang away. "I know a guy who can take us there; the most dangerous, deadly, rage-filled warrior I have ever known..." He paused as he parked the van near the docks.

"Sandy."

 You sat between Mk and Mei on the sofa while shivering in fear at the intimidating sight of Sandy as he threw a knife beside the sink, "It's a lot to take in... Do you know what I do to people who disrupt the peace...?" 

Mk and Mei were starting to be so scared that they began to hug you in fear.

"Serve 'em tea!" he exclaimed in a cheerful tone while serving you guys tea. 

"You guys want some? How about you? How about that guy over there, huh?" He asked everyone as you gladly took a cup of tea after Mk and Mei let go of you from their hold. 

Mei giggled petting a cat while Tang took a cup of tea, "Oh yes don't mind if I do!" He smugly looked at Pigsy, "Certain noodle shop owners can learn a lot from your hospitality Sandy." 

Mei chimed in as well, "Oh you're right Piggy this guy is dangerous! He will kill us with the cuteness!!" Mei kept a cat on Pigsy's head making him grunt.

 "It's my blend of anti-stress fruit! It brings the heart rate down." Sandy happily explained.

"Sandy, what happened to you?!" Pigsy exploded. "WHERE'S THE ANGRY GLASS-CHEWING, FIST-THROWING BUDDY I USED TO KNOW?!" Sandy pulled Pigsy from his face and patted his head. "Oh well, my therapist said that I need to calm down..." 

You tuned out from the conversation as you noticed a cat coming towards you. You gently held a hand out for the little guy as he began to sniff you before he started to lick your fingers.
