Ch.7- Coming Home

Mei laughed evilly, "Up-smash all you want Mk! You will never beat my ancient galloping fury power!" Mei taunted as she watched herself win against Mk who kept struggling in each move.

"Up-smash! Up-smash!" Sandy exclaimed, trying to help him.

"Someone please win quickly!" You exclaimed, jogging on one spot, "I need to get to the bookstore to buy the limited edition manga that just appeared today!!" You waved your arms in exaggeration.

"I am trying Sandy! [Y/n]!! Okay?! I am trying! I am trying!" Mk yelled while continuously pushing the power-up button and moving the lever to move his character. 

Mei laughed evilly again, "No one can defeat me!" she exclaimed raising her fist, to push a button for her final move...

Right when her phone started to ring. 

"Oh boy," Mei mumbled under her breath, picking up the call.

MK smirked, gaining an advantage over Mei not playing.

"Hey! That's cheating!" You playfully shouted, taking over Mei's place.

"No fair [Y/n]!" Mk yelled, playfully nudging you. 

The game was quite simple. You need to be strategic enough to use your moves wisely until you can use the power-up button.

And with that, you won in seconds.

"Yes!" You cheered throwing your fist in the air. 

"You cheated!" Mk pouted. 

"I won fair and square!"

"You took over Mei's side!"

"You were continuing to play while she was busy on her phone!"

Mk was about to retort when...

"My parents... they want me to house sit," Mei explained to Sandy, piquing Mk's attention.

"That's a bad thing?" Sandy questioned confusingly. 

"No!" She shook her head, nervously laughing, "Me and my parents well--"

"Did someone say sleepover at Mei's house?" Mk interrupted with his Monkey King plush and PJs on. 

"Uhh..." You blinked, realising that Mk had only left your side for a few seconds before appearing with his pyjamas on.

"What--?! No-!" Mei panicked, "My parents wouldn't want to--!"

"Sleepover!" Mk exclaimed, coming back to her side with his normal clothes on.  

He began to mutter from the sidelines, "I always wanted to see inside Mei's secret dragon house full of secret dragon stuff..." 

Mei rubbed her arm anxiously.

Mk jumped beside Mei, "COME ON PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE!" 

He gave Mei his best puppy eyes. 

Mei sighed in defeat, "Sleep over it is."

Mk cheered and started to list things he wanted to do there. 

You knew that Mk was a tough person to handle but witnessing in person seemed like he was. like a child asking for a monkey plushie in a shop. 

You wonder if that's how he got all his limited edition of Monkey King stuff in the first place. Which reminds you...

"I need to get my limited edition manga from the store before it's too late!!" You panicked rushing towards the store.
