"HONEY!! Do you have your things packed?"
"Yes mom, I'm good!"
I scooped up my suitcase and ran down the stairs, where my mom stood. She was dressed on a long lavender dress with her hair back in a bun.
"Remember Emily, your dad is at the house right now, so we shouldn't be keeping him waiting."
"Alright, mom you don't have to be so nervous."
" I know, it's just," Mom's voice trailed off.
I grabbed her suitcase as well as mine and trotted out the door. For a measly old 7th grader I was pretty strong, if I do say so my self.Mom and I packed into our green mini van and set off for the new house. As we rode in the van, I examined the state of our 'old gal.' As we called it. We had had her every since my brother Aaron was born, which was about 23 years ago. The inside had a it's feel to it, with red cloth seating in it, but it still was manable. From the outside it had extreme rusting issues, which always scared mom and dad, but it didn't seem to affect the van alot, so they just left it alone.
" Are you excited about your new school,Em?" Mom asked
"Yeah..." I lied.
"Well you sound enthusiastic."
"I'm just worried that I'm going to be in the same state that I was at Qutein!"
Qutein Middle School was my old school, and I was in what I call the 'loser class' There were classes at QMS, it started like this...
Queens/Kings
Apprentices
Maids
Average
Losers
I was classified as a loser.
"I know that, sweety but you'll just have to... bear with it ok?"
"Fine."An hour later we arrived at a tan colored house. My dad and my dog, Rascal, we're sitting on the porch. My dad saw us and started waving. We had to park on the side of the road, because of the movers.
When we finally got out and got settled, we said hi to dad.
"So Emo." (My dad really liked calling me Emo.) "How do you like to house?"
I shrugged
"Oh, Emily don't worry you will get used to it. Wanna come in?"
Mom dug threw her purse and grabbed the keys. She unlocked the door and I took my first step into my new life.
