Oh.
She had to move. Yes, that meant that Makoto could live a normal domestic life with her sister but Makoto had just made friends with others that actually cared about her.
Her sister told her that she should take the train to the airport the next day so Makoto had started packing.
Her mother knocked on her bedroom door, weird. Makoto opened the door, her mother stood there sober. "Yes?" Makoto grumbled.
"Makoto," she said sincerely, "I talked to your sister about you moving and-". Makoto cut her off, "Yeah, I know. I'm moving."
Her mother sighs, "Makoto, I'm not the best mom." "I know." , she continues, "But seeing you go is the only motherly thing I can do."
Makoto reluctantly nodded, "Tell your sister that she is a great older sister and don't give her a hard time, okay?" her voice cracked a little.
" 'Kay..?" Makoto says. Her mother leaves the room.
What a weird conversation. Makoto's mom never really talked to her so hearing her voice was weird.
Makoto packed up all her things, seeing her childhood room empty felt weird. It's not like she'll miss it, she thinks.

The next day, Makoto had announced that she would be moving to the countryside.
Rui's heart dropped, he was sad of course. But he kept on his facade and smiled at her.
Makoto told everyone that Misaki would take her place as class rep and the class was sad to see her go, since she had a golden heart and was helpful.
Makoto visited the first years' floor to see Akito at the end of the day, she opened the classroom window by his desk.
She leaned on the windowsill, "Hi Akito-kun." she says. "Hi Makoto-senpai..?" he says confused.
"Hehe, I'm allowed here, don't worry," she chuckles at his expression, "I'm moving away soon."
"Moving?" he mumbles, "To your sister?" "Yup!" she says happily. Akito sighs, "Well don't you seem happy?"
"I am, why wouldn't I?" Makoto smiles, "I get to stay with my sister.". Akito blinks a few times at her then rests his face on his hand, "..I thought you'd be sad because you and Kamishiro-san are going out."
"G-going out?" Makoto shouts, "W-when did you hear that?!". Her voice catches a few eyes, "You aren't?" he mumbles. Makoto shakes her head.
"I for sure thought you were," Akito mutters, "Considering that Kamishiro-san definitely likes you."
Makoto's face turns pink, "Augh.." she groaned. "Stop whining and go confess to him Juliet." Akito shoos her away.
"I don't like hiiim.." Makoto tells herself.
For the rest of the day she hung out with WonderShow at Phoenix Wonderland. They all agreed that they should go with her to the train station.
So they went to the train station with Makoto and all her luggage, "Makoto-senpaaai.." Emu whines.
"Emu, you're getting her clothes all wet." Nene says reluctantly, a sweat beading off her face. "Makoto-senpai is leaving us forever!" she cries, hugging Makoto tighter. "I'm not going forever, hopefully." Makoto tries to soothe her, but ends up making her sob even more.
"Listen, it's getting late and it's been 20 minutes if we drag it on longer Emu will go feral. Let's go guys," Tsukasa scolds Emu, pulling her off of Makoto, "Rui, you coming?"
"You guys can go." Rui smiles at them, Makoto can see that he's a bit hurt inside but keeps smiling.
"Rui.."
"Makoto." he smiles at her.
"I'm kind of sad that you're leaving," he gets ahold of her hands and holds them gently, "I, uh." his voice cracks a little.
"I like you," he says.
The train arrives and dings, stopping in front of them. "Rui, I-" Makoto stammers, her hearts pounding.
He cups her cheek and mumbles, "Can I?" Makoto's face turns red, holyholyholyholyyy. She nods.
He leans in and kisses her, a soft and quick kiss. "You should go." Rui smiles, looking down at her.
Makoto sniffs, "Uh, yeah." She rushes over to the train then turning back and waving bye.
The door shut as she waves, smiling. Makoto sighs, she knows well that might be the last time she sees him.
Her lips pout, the pain in her throat swells as she tries to hold back tears. Her heart aches so bad. More than anything she'd like to be hugged by Rui once more again.
It hurts to say bye.
— Makoto Fukuda fact! She doesn't like trains anymore.
