It's been a long while since Makoto had moved away. She's in her third year of high school now and is captain of the volleyball team.
And she has a boyfriend. It's not like she doesn't love Rui anymore, you know when you still think you love someone but you don't get with them? Basically. It's hard to put in words.
It felt weird, his lips were so warm and soft. His hugs were so comforting too and his hands were slender and warm. Everything about him was so cute and warm.
Her new boyfriend is a kind and caring to her, and a bit of a dork yes. He was really shy when he first met her so it took ages for Makoto to get him comfortable with her.
Makoto left the convenience store with a popsicle in hand, she walked back to her house though it was a bit far due to the town being hilly and stretched out.
She opened her gate and slipped inside, her house was really.. traditional. There's even a small pond area near the entrance.
She enters the house to see her boyfriend sitting there, waiting for her. She smiles at him and he smiles back. She snuggles next to him and lays his head on her chest, stroking his hair oh so gently.
"Why are you here?" Makoto asks him, he glances around before pushing his glasses up his nose bridge. "I just wanted to see you.." he mutters, hiding his face.
Makoto smiles at him. She feels happy and so, so content. "I'm so lucky, aren't I?" she smiles, moving his bangs up to kiss his forehead. He winces a bit and drops his head back down, "Sleepy?" Makoto asks.
He nods, closing his eyes and laying his head down on her chest. Makoto strokes his hair while too falling sleep slowly.

After a few hours, Makoto woke up to the orange light shining. It was golden hour already so she lifted his head up and laid it on a pillow.
The door rang, Makoto thought it was her sister back from work so she opened the door immediately.
She gently opened the door. To see a tall figure with bright hair again.
