Ai Haibara sat at her desk, staring blankly at the textbook in front of her. It had been years since the APTX 4869 poison had caused her body to regress, trapping her in the form of a young girl. She had been living in the junior high school with Edogawa Conan, who had also been affected by the poison, ever since.

Despite the passage of time, Ai and Conan had been unable to find an antidote for the poison. They were stuck in their children's bodies, unable to age or grow like normal people. It was a frustrating and sometimes unbearable reality, but they had learned to make the most of their situation.

Ai sighed and closed her textbook, letting out a small sigh. She couldn't focus on her studies today, not with the constant reminder of her trapped state hanging over her head. She glanced over at Conan, who was sitting at his own desk, his brow furrowed in concentration as he worked on a math problem.

Ai couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt as she watched him. She knew that Conan was just as frustrated and unhappy about their situation as she was, but he always tried to stay positive and make the best of things. He had become her rock, her constant companion and support system throughout their time in the junior high school.

As Ai's thoughts drifted, she couldn't help but wonder what their lives would be like if they were still normal. Would they have gone to high school and college, found jobs and started families? Or would they have taken different paths, pursuing their own dreams and ambitions?

Ai shook her head, trying to clear her mind. It was no use dwelling on the past or wondering about what could have been. She and Conan were stuck in their current reality, and they needed to find a way to make the most of it.
