Chapter 7

As the days passed, Ai and Conan continued to live their lives as a couple, doing their best to keep their relationship a secret from their friends and classmates.

But despite the challenges they faced, Ai couldn't help but feel grateful for the time she spent with Conan. She knew that their situation wasn't ideal, but as long as they had each other, she knew they could make it through anything.

One day, as they were walking home from school, Conan suddenly stopped, a serious look on his face. "Ai," he said. "I've been thinking. I know we've talked about this before, but I want to make it official." 

Ai's heart skipped a beat at Conan's words, and she couldn't help but feel a surge of happiness and love. "Of course, Conan," she said, taking his hand in hers. "I want that too.But, I don't think it's a good idea. Our friends and classmates already suspect that we're more than just friends, and if we make it official, it could cause a lot of problems."

Conan looked at Ai, a determined look in his eyes. "I understand your concerns, Ai," he said. "But I don't care about what other people think. I love you, and I want to be with you, no matter what. If we have to keep our relationship a secret, that's fine. But I want to make it clear to the world that you're mine."

Ai's heart skipped a beat at Conan's words, and she couldn't help but feel a surge of emotion. She knew that Conan meant what he said, and she couldn't help but feel touched by his sincerity.

But at the same time, she couldn't shake the feeling that making their relationship official would only cause more problems. She knew that Ayumi, in particular, would be devastated if she found out that Conan was in a relationship with someone else.

"I understand how you feel, Conan," Ai said. "But I think it's best if we keep our relationship a secret for now. At least until we're out of junior high school and can handle any problems that might come our way."

Conan looked at Ai, a sad look in his eyes. "I understand," he said. "I'll respect your decision. But know that I love you, and I'll always be here for you."

Ai smiled at Conan, grateful for his understanding and love. She knew that their relationship wouldn't be easy, but as long as they had each other, she knew they could make it through anything.
