He didn't waste an angel on me"Beautiful Crazy- Luke Combs
"Beautiful, crazy
She can't help but amaze me
The way that she dances
Ain't afraid to take chances
And wears her heart on her sleeve
Yeah, she's crazy
But her crazy's beautiful to me"Sun to Me- Zach Bryan
"But I've been livin', waitin' on the day
That the good Lord willin', send you out my way
I've seen hard timеs, bad luck, all that in-between
Sweetest of the sunflowеrs, yeah, you're the sun to me"Forever After All- Luke Combs
"They say nothing lasts forever
But they ain't seen us together
Or the way the moonlight dances in your eyes
Just a t-shirt in the kitchen
With no make-up and a million
Other things that I could look at my whole life
A love like that makes a man have second thoughts
Maybe some things last forever after all"*Isadora*
She finishes packing her bag with the bare necessities. Deodorant. Her key. Pepper spray. Socks. A change of underwear. Her test kit, just in case. She pushes her curly hair that escaped her bun out of her face. Her water heater was out, she was going to his for a shower. Work had left her exhausted. Another week of 16s had her drained.
Last week, a pipe busted and her transmission started acting up. This week, she'd had to move back in with her mother, her lease was up. She grabs her bag by the handle on top, and heads for the door. After hearing she'd been taking cold showers, Ryot had immediately told her to come use his.
She drops her bag in her passenger seat with an exasperated sigh. Her stepdad and bio-mom were fighting again, she'd just used her savings to catch up her mom's car payment, and she was still stuck in the middle.
Cracking her neck, she starts the car and heads for his. Part of her is relieved he offered, part of her is just too tired to feel anything. She drives carefully, navigating the traffic and icy roads, singing along to Zach Bryan. They'd gotten an ice storm the night before, and were expecting snow that night. She had to be quick. She pulls into his subdivision and parks.
He meets her at the door, letting her inside into his warm townhouse.
"Sh-ttt it's cold out." She mutters, dropping her bag to greet Izzy and his puppy, Kallie. He nods, watching the puppy take to her instantly."It is, yeah. Without a hot water heater I'm sure it's worse." He says. She looks up at him, grinning sheepishly.
"Don't forget without heat. That went out last night. Thank you again. You're saving me from an icy fate." He rolls his eyes."Any time punk. I'll grab you a towel." He turns to go upstairs, then turns back. "Are you okay? You look... exhausted." He asks softly. She nods.
"I'm alright. Just a rough week. Moved back in with my biological mother and she's on my case constantly." She tells him. She leaves out the truth. He nods.
"I'll meet you upstairs, yeah?" She tries, picking up her bag and dropping it on the couch. "Just need to sit for a minute." He rubs her shoulder.
"Of course. Tyson will be here in a few." She sits down as he disappears upstairs. Her eyes are heavy. She was more tired than she thought. Despite fighting, her eyes betray her and close, and she gives in to the beautiful hold of sleep.*
