Sneaky

Shania woke up to the sunshine beaming down on her face through the curtains in her room. It's Saturday and she said to herself she was gonna try to get a jump on the case. Today she was gonna sneak into the school and see what she could find. Yes it's true she was investigating the school but she wasn't given full access. She got up and took a shower and got dressed. She fixed herself some breakfast and then headed out the door. The time was 11am when she reached the area of where the school was. She made sure not to park in the parking lot though so she wouldn't be obvious she was there. She parked her car two blocks down the street and she walked the rest of the way. She remembered Berlin saying the emergency exits weren't secure. She snuck in through the back door where the gymnasium was. She made sure not to wear high heels so no one would hear her footsteps. Once she reached the hallway close to her classroom she started hearing a familiar voice. Principal Johnny to be exact and he was on the phone having what seemed to be a heated conversation. Shania got as close as she get to the door to his office.

Principal Johnny: Yeah I know alright. This thing will blow over and everything will go back to normal

Shania started to record him when a hand grabbed her mouth and face. She was quietly drugged out of the front office and into the music room. When she looked it was just Berlin the music teacher. He closed the door and locked it so they wouldn't be heard talking.

Shania: Berlin what are you doing?

Berlin: No what are you doing?

Shania: You saw what I was doing. Why are you here?

Berlin: We had a teacher's development meeting in which you were supposed to attend

Shania: Nobody told me that

Berlin: The school sent out an email

Shania checked her school email and saw the notification. She sighed and and shook her head.

Berlin: Shania do you wanna explain yourself? Why were you ear hustling in on the principal?

Shania: I can't tell you

Berlin: Well with all that's been going on around here. I gotta say you look mighty suspicious

Shania: Sweetheart people was dying way before I got here so don't do that. You need to mine your own business sir

Berlin: Oh no not you saying that when I just caught being nosy. I saved you and your job

Shania: Worry about yourself Berlin excuse me

Berlin: Why you gotta be like that?

Shania: What are you even talking about?

Berlin: Why you gotta be so closed off all the time?

Shania: I'm not closed off

Berlin: Yeah you are. The other day I wanted you to hear my music and you rushed off. When we first met you did the same thing. Are you that self centered that you can't see when a person is trying to get to know you?

Shania: Berlin I'm here to work and that's it. I'm not here for love or whatever you think you can get from me. I'm flattered but no thank you

Berlin: I don't want sex from you if that's what you think. I just wanna know you outside of school

Shania: No thank you

Berlin: No thank you?

Shania: Yeah now can you please move so I can go? I have things to do
