It was Saturday and Kanai was finally getting out of the hospital. Everybody had gathered together at Deontae's house to surprise her with a party. Deontae made sure everybody helped out and put everything together for her. Kanai was ready when Deontae came to pick her up. Instead of going to get clothes from her parents house he surprised her with a new outfit. She was so happy for the clothes but of course there was more to come.
Deontae: You need me to get you a wheelchair baby?
Kanai: Nah I'm good I can walk
Deontae: Come on let me wheel you up outta here so you can stay off your feet
Kanai: Fine baby whatever you want
Deontae went to go get a wheelchair for Kanai and came back quickly. He went to try to help her but she just looked at him. She said as she smiled "I can do it De. I promise I'm good".
Deontae: I'm just tryna help you Nai
Kanai: You're already doing that sweetie
Deontae: I love you
Kanai: I love you to De
Deontae pulled the car up to the front door entrance and helped Kanai get it. She wondered what might be next.
Kanai: Thank you for coming to get me De. I guess you're taking me home now right?
Deontae: No you not going back. You gonna stay with me now. I'm not giving your step dad another chance to put his hands on you
Kanai: But what about your mom?
Deontae: I told you she don't care
Kanai: Okay whatever you say De
Deontae: Do you trust me?
Kanai: You're my boyfriend
Deontae: That's not what I asked you
Kanai: Yes Deontae I trust you
Deontae: Okay so chill baby. I would never tell you something wrong
Kanai: Alright then
When Deontae and Kanai pulled up they saw Andreas car. Kanai looked at Deontae and said "what's Andreas doing here. I thought it was just gonna be me and you".
Deontae: He came over to borrow something
Kanai: And he has a key to your house?
Deontae: He pulled up before I left to come get you. He won't be here that long don't trip
Kanai: I'm not trippin De. I just didn't know anybody else was gonna be here that's all
Deontae: He bout to leave don't worry. I know you probably wanna just get some rest
Kanai: Nah it's cool foreal. I can just go upstairs while y'all do whatever
Deontae: Come on baby
So Kanai and Deontae got out the car and went to the door. Deontae unlocked it and everybody screamed "SURPRISE!!!!" Kanai was so overwhelmed with joy that all she could do was smile. She just wanted to be alone with Deontae at first. When she saw all her friends she felt different.
Kanai: OMG!! Bitch I'm so happy to see you
Jamisha: Me to girl. I'm so happy you're okay
Kanai: Thank you and hey Jessonica. How you doing girl?
Jessonica: I'm good are you good?
Kanai: Of course. Y'all we gotta catch up
Andreas: What's up Kanai?
