You groaned as you began to wake. You could hear the soft murmurs of the T.V. in the background from last night. Yesterday, you decided to do a movie marathon. It was a terrible choice as you ended up eating all the snacks you had just gotten a day ago. How amazing. It was currently 12:30 pm, and your shift started in 2 hours. Your restless body slowly heaved upwards, and you rubbed your eyelids.

"Holy shit this room is a mess." You said out loud to nobody in particular, as you were lucky enough to rent an apartment for only yourself which meant no roommates. You got up, deciding to clean your mess up after work and headed to the bathroom to brush your teeth and get changed.

After washing your face, you opened your front door and took a deep breath in to prepare for the day which was waiting for you. The sun was being quite annoying as it's bright light decided to shove it's way into your eyes. You lifted your arm up to block its rays from reaching your pupils, and turned around to lock the door behind you.

Swiftly, you placed your keys into your pockets and you began to take your daily stroll to a little bakery you loved. The only reason you really went there is because you knew the shop owner and their croissants were to die for. Your stomach grumbled at just the thought of those silky croissants, smoothly buttered and melting in your mouth. The smell too, it would waft from your hand into your nostrils and although every time you ate it, you wanted to savour each and every second it stayed in your mouth, most of the time you would end up chowing it all down because of how good it looked and how hungry you were.

'Maybe this time I'll buy two.' Yeah, that sounded like a really good option. Oh, and would you look at that? You were at the bakery. You placed your hand on the door and opened it, and you could hear the soft dingling of bells as you did so. Looking over to the counter, you tried to see who it was. You were hoping it was someone you knew or at least someone friendly who worked there. But fate decided otherwise, there stood the most annoying person you had ever met. You didn't even know his name and yet he still managed to be a nuisance.

"Look who's back again. I'm assuming you're here for your regular plain croissant, being the boring person that you are." You took a deep sigh, you needed sleep and you were really not in the mood to deal with this guy's shenanigans so early in the morning (ignoring the fact it was already 12) especially due to the fact that he just had no emotion in his voice.

"I'd like two today actually." Once you had stated that, you heard him snort. "Yeah ok." Your eye twitched and you got your wallet out. "How are you paying?" He asked, after clearly seeing you get your card out. "Card." You snarled at him, and once again he snorted at your tone. You just glared at him as you swiped the card, and then sat down at a chair.

Because you didn't have anything else to do, you began to observe the outside world through the clean window. The plants slowly swayed as the wind softly whistled. The clouds were light and fluffy, and their plain white colour contrasted the baby blue gradient of the sky. Some people walked past, doing their daily walks and minding their business.

While focussing outside, your eyes noticed something. A flower you were previously looking at stopped moving, but the others continued onwards. You squinted your eyes and began to focus on it. What was happening. Suddenly, it just disappeared, and you witnessed as the grass and flowers distort. Your eyes widened, it was almost as if the flower had glitched out, you saw a slight RGB tone as well.

China hitting table loudly quickly broke the silence, and you looked over, slightly frightened but you soon calmed down once you saw your croissant. Wait, you weren't going to let that distract you. You turned back to the window, and your eyes widened once again. Everything had gone back to normal...but the flower was still missing.

Holy shit, you were either seeing stuff in your sleep deprived state or that flower really just disappeared in front of your eyes. You just turned back to your croissant and rubbed your temple. You didn't want to think about whether or not that was reality or not because then you'd go into a whole session of overthinking and worrying about what would happen. You were going to save yourself from the anxiety, plus, why be worried when you have the most luxurious croissant in front of you.

Your teeth sank into the croissant, and you let out a pleased hum. It tasted too good to be true. You felt like you were ascending into heaven, and then you took another bite. Oh yeah, definitely up there at cloud 9.

And then you gulped it all down, you couldn't blame yourself though, it was just so...addicting. Luckily, you made the smart decision of ordering a second one, so you could have another taste of it on the same day. Hm.. You could either save it for after work...Or, you could eat it on the way to work.

Obviously, you were gonna eat it on the way to work. You got up, leaving your plate there with the crumbs and with the second croissant in your hand, you left the bakery. The soft breeze had hit your face, and you barely noticed it until your hair started to flow a bit. You checked your wristwatch.

"1:23.. I'll be able to make it." You said, and then began to stroll down the street. From the corner of your eye, you saw some white things randomly appear and disappear. You quickly flipped your head toward it, but it was nothing. Some people started to stare at you, and you just awkwardly continued to walk to work.
