'Maybe this wasn't such a good idea...' You thought to yourself as you stood in a random place, with people minding their business and walking to whichever destinations they had to. It was quite awkward to just stay in some random town, and to be honest you were exhausted.

It was the evening, as the red and orange hues had settled over your town and you weren't going to try to walk anymore to go home. You had your wallet in your coat pocket so you didn't have to worry about money right now. First things first, food. You could either go to the grocery store to get groceries ooooor you could just get ready made food.

The latter option was obviously better and you could get food ready instantly. Now here was the problem, you had to look for a restaurant of sorts or at least something similar, as well as a hotel to stay in for the night.

Trying to seem like you fit in, you began to walk through the town and you watched at how lively the streets were. You could see kids walking around, some running around enjoying their night. And that's when one bumped into you, they stood for a few moments and then they mumbled a quiet 'ow..' They then looked up at you, sheepishly smiling in a sort of apologetic manner.

"Sorry! I was trying to catch up with my hero!" They were a cute kid, with 2 buck teeth, a striped shirt and no arms. "It's fine kid, be careful, k?" You pat their head and they nodded, giving you a wide grin before once again running off. You didn't mind kids as long as they weren't annoying little shits who cried if you didn't let them play on your phone.

Suddenly, you could hear a bunch of screaming and shouting coming from a nearby bar. Your eyebrows furrowed as you looked over to this supposed bar. It was called 'Grillby's' and you noticed quite a few people there. There was someone who threw something inside the bar and a bunch of people were screaming. The person was laughing their ass off and that's when you heard the comment.

"THAT'S WHAT YOU DISGUSTING CREATURES FOR CRAWLING UP ONTO OUR LAND!" They sneered inside the bar, which was clearly a majority monster one. The human ran away with their head up, and you could see they were still snickering. The behaviour really disgusted you, and you hadn't seen discrimination against monsters in a while. You would've done something but the guy ran away too fast for you to catch up with them. You grimaced as you noticed someone taking the object out of the shop, it seemed to be a stink bomb as they were covering what seemed to be their nose.

"Stupid humans. Can they not leave us be?" That's what hurt the most. The discriminatory behaviour towards monsters only caused them to hate humans back. It felt sad to know people were still being discriminated against for being who they were. You continued walking onwards to find a restaurant of someplace.

"Alright, your room is 07, it's on the second floor." The hotel receptionist had given you your room keys, and you nodded in a sense of thankfulness. You sluggishly began to leave toward an elevator. You were quite full as you went to a restaurant which had quite a deal. It was 15g for a full fledged meal! Now that's what you called cheap.

Leaving the elevator, your eyes began trying to search for your room number, but it was difficult as your eyelids refused to stay crooked open. When you found it, you took a sigh of relief and took your room key out. Your shaking hands tried to fit it into the keyhole multiple times to no avail, but after a few attempts you had managed to. You swung it open, locked it behind you, and flopped onto the bed which was fortunately placed only a few steps away from the door. You were so tired you couldn't be bothered to take your shoes off.

As your eyelids began to slowly droop, you began to think about the fact you'd probably never see your home again. It was a sad realisation really, because you were clearly in a completely different universe. You didn't even want to think about the many other universes which existed. Your vision for the night slowly ended as you fell into a deep sleep.

You awoke, face smushed into...the floor?? Why on earth were you on the floor? Your arms lifted yourself upwards and you rubbed your face. You felt like crap, and you probably looked like it too. But, just to double check you did, you got up and stood in front of the large mirror by the door.

Yep, pure crap. Your hair was a mess and there was a mark on the right side of your face, probably from being asleep on the cold floor. You just decided to head to the bathroom to wash your face and brush your teeth.

You spread the cool water on your face to wake you up a bit. And like hell it did. Face wet, you dried it down with a towel which the hotel had kindly provided. Then, you decided on going to change your clothes, and that's when realisation slapped you right in the face.

"Just amazing, I don't have any clothes." You groaned, to yourself, now realising you'd have to go waste your energy to go find some clothes. You took a deep sigh, and headed to your room door, room keys in hand.

945 words.
You literally have no belongings now, so sad :(.
