Adrenaline rushed through you at finally finding someone else. They sat still and didn't even seem to notice that you were there. That was quite surprising as you were pretty sure you made yourself known due to how annoyingly loud you must've been here. You kind of hoped they would notice you as it was getting quite awkward just to stand and watch.
Focusing, you realised this person was just staring at the ground, and it looked like colours were seeping out of their fingertips. They seemed deep in their concentration or whatever. You were starting to get annoyed, when was this guy going to stop so they could help you get out of here?? It didn't seem like it would happen any time soon so you decided to call out to them.
'...Uh...Excuse me?' you had said, a bit too loud and it was almost like your voice echoed in the empty space, but it was just your ears getting used to hearing something other than the ongoing static.
You saw the person jolt and immediately turn their head backwards, confused and most importantly, scared. Their brows were furrowed and you saw them quiver for a bit but they relaxed.
"Who are you, and what are you doing here?". Great. They seemed cold and unwilling in their response meaning they probably were not willing to help you. You could tell they were angry as well just by the look they were giving you.
"Um hi...So I kind of just ended up here? Is there a way I can like...leave?" The person stayed quiet for a few seconds, trying to take in what you had told them but after a few seconds they had responded to your question.
"And what makes you think that I, a complete stranger, would help you?" They tsked at you, and you just stood there bewildered. "...Bbbecause I look fabulous? Or maybe because I have manners."
The guy just looked you up and down in disgust, similar to how someone had once looked at him. They just turned back around to whatever on earth they were doing before. Panicked, you tried to get their attention back because you were going to get out of here.
"WAIT WAIT! Uh...I could dance? Or sing? Or play the symbols like that one monkey?" You had gotten no response from this dry individual. So, you were going to make them respond.
You went around in front of them and stood there, arms crossed. "We could do a staring contest? I'd surely win, I'm unbeaten you know?" The person blinked and looked to the side. You, in turn, moved to the side just to block their vision, even going so far as to bend down so your faces were level.
"I can tell you like...painting? I don't know but the thing you're doing is cool with your fingers. I could like paint you something? Would that make you help me?" Once again no response. "I KNOW, I'll do a cartwheel, I know that's gonna impress you."
The guy let out an angry sigh. "What do you want?" At this question you deadpanned. "Uh hello? I've been asking you for the past 5 minutes to get me out of here, and I would really appreciate it if you did." The guy rolled their eyes. "Right. I'll help you because you're really pissing me off right now and not gonna lie I don't want to see your face anymore."
They got up, shoving you in the process and you rubbed your arm. What an asshole. Why did this guy have to be so dry?? They then began walking somewhere before turning back to look at you, confused. "Is your annoying ass coming or not?" Your eye twitched at how rude they were being, but you weren't gonna complain right now because all you cared about was getting home and away from this white endless space of annoyingness. "Yep, I'm coming." You ran after them.
667 words.
You both finally talk.
