Having finally reached the expensive restaurant of choice, Jason leads me through the prestigious doors of the restaurant. Inside were beautiful modern chandeliers amongst the tables with waiters and waitresses dressed impeccably in their fancier designed uniform. Customers dressed to impress as they shine in their expensive suits and designer dresses with jewelery the price of my liver. We move through the restaurant with eyes on Jason, seemingly everyone knows who he is. I mean he is the Jason Osbourne, billionaire( suspected trillionaire) mogul, businessman, bachelor with expensive taste not to mention he's never really seen with a lot of girls but here I am. Probably the hoe on his arm just looking to waste his money. I can see their thoughts on their faces, judging me and criticizing my every move as we move towards the stairs where the stares cease.

Thank heavens.

Feeling my discomfort, Jason swiftly turns to my direction while squeezing my hand in his own. "What's wrong", he questions letting his eyes roam over my face seeing my saddened expression. "The stares are just uncomfortable", I tell him the vague truth hoping he drops it as we move to a reception where I assume is where reservations and sorts for important people are finalized. Jason smiles sadly in my direction as he brings me closer, our arms now locked together and stood in front of one of the receptionists. "Good afternoon sir, how can I help you tonight", the receptionist smiles kindly as she prepares to do her job of assisting customers in whatever they need. "Yes, I made a reservation for the surprise dinner", Jason says coldly, the earlier smile now gone replaced with professionalism and uninterest. "Oh Mr Osbourne I will check your reservation shortly and prepare to seat you both", Jason nods as he allows the wait when an older man approaches him with a smile.

"Jason! Is that you kido", the man approaches, Jason turns toward the man and smiles genuinely before going into a hug that ends with a few pats on the back and a shake of hands. "Hi Mr Harrison", he says politely although the man smiles sadly. "I thought I told you to call me Harry, you're like my son I don't need the formalities", he says smiling gently. "Forgive me, Harry. I must have forgotten", Jason smiles in his direction as the man looks on fondly. "How have you been, I can still see you're business orientated", he says chuckling before wrapping an arm around Jason's shoulders. "I've been alright, running businesses needs most of my time, you know", he says unabashed but I could feel the innuendo in his statement. The fact that Osbourne Academy and Osbourne Enterprises and logistics are used as a front for his other secret but deadlier business on the side as the leader of the triad, I still can't believe it. Everything about my family being in the mafia and him being in the triad whilst Jade is also included in this dangerous life has got me distracted. I can barely focus on school or any other thing that's in my life currently. Knowing that Alex is also involved. Jonathon isn't a typical IT technician, which I should have suspected from the start since what IT technician needs to hack into mainframes for.

I haven't spent time digesting the information just going with the flow hoping I just wake up and find out it's a dream. Although if it is then I've been sleeping for a couple days at this point. A question asked takes me out of my thoughtful state as 2 pairs of eyes turn to face me. "Well, who's this beautiful young woman", I smile gently to the man as I let out my hand to shake. He grabs my hand and begins to shake it when his eyes widen. "Firm grip you got there, beautiful and great etiquette. She's a keeper", I slightly blush from the compliments and shyly keep my eyes down, all confidence out the window. "Her name is Lyla and she's the woman I'm courting", I'm surprised he didn't say dating as most men do. I've never heard a man say they're counting a woman which is accurate for where we are romantically. "You're the only man I've ever met say they are courting someone, I've rubbed off on you", he states as he begins to pull Jason further away from me to whisper something in his ear which Jason then replies. "She seems special to you, I haven't seen you with a girl since-...but the way you look at her tells me she's more than caught your eye", he whispers to Jason letting his eyes roam over my figure standing awkwardly near the reception desk before a receptionist calls on me.
"She's interesting and the more time I spend with her, the more I want to be around her. She makes my heart beat and that scares me because the last woman to do that took something from me", I see Jason's fists clench from afar and I can't help but wonder if he's okay. I don't know when I started caring but here I am concerned. "Well, if you were so worried about that, you wouldn't be here with her, arm in arm, staring at her as if she's the most beautiful human being you've ever seen which tells me you want to see where this could go. I can't guarantee she won't hurt you, but she's not her and she never will be. Her hold over you will cause you to miss opportunities like that lovely girl over there who's concerned about your wellbeing because she can see that right at this moment you're angry", I watch Jason unclench his fists and softly laugh to the older which calms my nerves as I'm talking to the receptionist.
