When they announced that Claire was my match, I was jumping for joy on the inside. I was also scared. I have loved this girl for so long and I haven't been able to tell her and now I get to love her and Nicky for the rest of my life.
She walked over to me and I gave her a hug. I wasn't sure what else to do at that point. I'm not sure what she is thinking. I sit down and she sits down next to me with Nicky.
"At this point we shall all eat and when we're done, you will all go home with your match. You can decide if that is your house or theirs. You will not sleep in the same bed however. In the morning someone will be by and discuss future plans with you. Have a good night and thank you everybody for coming tonight." The Contrality walked off of the little stage we had and we began eating in silence.
The meal was delicious and I ate really fast. I look over at Claire and I see she is done eating also. I slowly get up and she follows suit. We both walk through the doors and walk towards her house.
"So, are we going to my house or yours? I would prefer we go to my house since Nicky is comfortable there and I have his best interests in mind."
"That is perfectly fine. I was actually going to suggest it. I know Nicky will always be a priority in your life and I would like to make him a priority in my life as well as long as you and him agree with it."
"That would be amazing. Let's go get this sleepy little guy to bed."
