I woke up too early but laid still on the couch. I can't wait to talk about a wedding and what the rest of our lives will entail but part of me still feels guilty because I should've done all of this with Emmy. Instead we both brought Nicky into this world.
I hear Nicky waking up and I know Claire is still fast asleep. With the events of last night, the Contrality is allowing us a relaxing day. I walk over to Nicky's door and open it slowly. I see him trying to get his shirt on and I offer him some help.
"Hey Nicky, would you like some help with that?"
"Yes please!" He hands me his shirt and I gently glide it over his head and he pushes his little arms through. "Thank you! Can we go get some food please!"
I grab his hand and we both go into the kitchen and grab some cereal. He sits down in a chair and watches me make him a bowl of cereal. I set it down in front of him and watched him eat. I started eating mine as well.
Once we both get done eating, Nicky grabs a book from his room and sits down on the couch and I wash the dishes. Once I'm done, I sit next to him and help him spell out some of the words. He's already an amazing reader. I assume Claire is responsible for that. I can't wait to see what the future holds for us.
