"A what?"
They were now at the back of the cave to avoid getting washed up.
"It's like an underwater earth quake. It makes huge waves that cause lots of damage and could kill people," Gregor said, explaining tsunamis the best he could.
"Ok so how do we get out?" Aurora asked.
Gregor had never actually learnt or heard of what to do in a Tsunami.
"We could either stay here or just got for it!" Luxa yelled over the waves.
"Does anyone back at the palace know where we are?" Aurora asked.
"Yes. I informed Vikus of the exact cave we were going to. If Regalia has found out about this tsunami then they would have sent out a search team by now." Ares said.
They all agreed to wait a little while longer. Ten minutes had passed and no one had come. The tsunami wasn't getting any better too. The waves had gotten so loud and big that the water was licking their feet at the back of the cave.
"Alright everyone m. Mount up we're gonna have to get ur ourselves," Gregor said.
They all loaded up and took of above the crashing river. The flight back would have been short as the palace wasn't far but the waves didn't make flying easier. At first they were fine until the waves started touching the bats' wings.
"Can you guys fly with wet wings?" Gregor asked.
"No. Water does not go very well with our wings," Aurora answered.
The bats sped up and Gregor and Ares got on the dock just in time to miss a huge wave coming for them. Luxa and Aurora weren't as lucky though. They got thrusted into the dock by the wave knocking them out. Gregor left Ares panting on the floor to get everyone else medical attention. Gregor didn't know where he would find a doctor walking around so he barged into the war room where everyone was waiting for their arrival.
"Look who decided to show up," Ripred said, ignoring the fact he was soaked.
"Gregor what happened?" Howard asked, running up to him.
"I'm fine. The others are at the dock though. They need more help than I do," Gregor said.
Howard called for other doctors as he followed Gregor down to the dock.
"What happened down here?" Howard asked obviously shocked by the waves.
"The waves have never been that wild before," Ripred said in awe.
"Wait really?" Gregor asked. For all he knew places that tsunamis happen get them every few decades or so.
"Yes. Is this normal in the Overland?" Vikus asked.
"No, but it happens in some places," Gregor started.
By now Luxa and everyone else had been taken down to the hospital while Gregor, Ripred, Vikus and Howard slowly made their way to the royal quarters.
"What is it called?" Howard asked obviously trying to keep his excitement in. The Overland always interested him.
"It's called a tsunami. They are like underwater earth quakes that make huge destructive waves. The waves shouldn't be much damage to you though because all your stuff are made of stone."
"And how long does this supposed tsunami last?" Ripred asked lazing on the couch.
Gregor had no recall if learning or hearing of this anywhere. "I'm not sure. It should be gone in a few hours or so."
Nerissa had decided to hold off the meeting. The rush around the bonding ceremony tomorrow, dealing with the tsunami and worrying about Luxa, Aurora and Ares kept them busy enough.
Gregor had to go to sleep having no news of the others other than "They will be fine."
