"Alright, I'm, glad you already kind of know your way around here because we do not have time for anything here" Meghan Tylerson said.Head of Communications of Oracle Red Bull Racing team. Max had in fact gotten Lucia a job in their marketing team. Not only was she able to work there because of Max, but also because they actually loved the pictures she took of drivers and her perspective on things. Lucia was so excited she had barely slept that night.
"Yeah no worries I'll find my way around" Lucia told Meghan, as she climbed up the stairs of the Red Bull quarters.
She opened the door, to find multiple people typing on their computer, talking on the phone or just walking around stressed. Even though Lucia knew the drill more or less, she was still nervous.
"Lucia Sainz right?" She heard a male voice call out.
Finally she spotted a man behind a screen.
"Yep that's me" she replied as she walked up to the man.
He wasn't much older than Lucia, maybe 23 years old.
"I'm Peter and this is Angie and Maria, we run the Social Media accounts, so you'll be working with us mostly. Come take a seat. Here's a sheet with your new Red Bull mail address and any information that is relevant to you. Here's your new Paddock pass and now there's only one thing left" he informed Lucia and she was shocked at the speed this man could talk.
Than he gave her a Red Bull jacket, gave her a reassuring smile and walked off. The other two women were both blonde and about as tall as Lucia. She was relatively small, about 1.65 meters, which wasn't much in her eyes, as she always got teased for it by her brother and her cousin.
"Don't panic, Peter is always this stressed, if have any questions ever, feel free to reach out to us" at least the two women were nice.
Maria walked up to her and guided Lucia back outside, where Lucia put her new jacket on.
"You got your camera with you right? Max is still doing the press conference, but Checo should be done with his interviews and ready for the shoot" she grabbed Lucia's arm and dragged her through a crowd of people until they were in front of a white Red Bull tent.
"What kind of photoshoot are we doing?" she asked curiously, as she was still confused what the plan for today would be.
"We need new pictures for victory posts. You know when someone gets pole or a podium, we upload an edited picture on to our story on Instagram. We need new ones. Don't worry about the editing. Angie will do that with you and you guys can later on discuss how you want it to look like." Maria explained and they entered the tent.
"Mi pequeña, como estás? No te he visto últimamente. Todo bien?" Checo asked her, while embracing her with a hug (My little one, how are you? I haven't seen you lately. Everything alright?).
Checo and Fernando had basically adopted Carlos and Lucia when Carlos got into Formula One. Fernando had been Carlos idol since he was little and there was also the language that brought them closer over the years. It was always nice to be able to talk to someone in your mother tongue here and there.
"Estoy bien, y tú? Cómo están tua esposa y tus hijos ?" Lucia asked him (I'm good and you? How's your wife and children?.
"Están bien, gracias por preguntar, los niños están creciendo más rápido de lo que quiero" he said jokingly, and then taking a sip out of his water bottle (Thanks for asking, they're fine, the children are growing faster than I want to).
