Chapter 7: Caught.

Jeremy stares at the clock in the living room. He quietly waits. 5 minutes pass. Then 10. Then 15. Jeremy waits until it's 11:30 then he gets up and sneaks upstairs and over to your room door which was cracked open. Guess you were too tired to close it all the way. He slowly opens the door a little more and makes his way into the room.

He looks around using the moonlight to see the room. It was a plain room. Nothing special about it. Once he was done looking around the room, he looks at you. He quietly walks over to you, seeing you snuggled in your blanket since the room was a little cold. He smiles and softly strokes your cheek. "You sleep so peacefully..." He whispers and leans down then plants a soft kiss on your cheek before pulling out his phone and going to the camera. He takes a picture or two and puts his phone back. 'I wonder what else I can find...' He walks around the room and searches the dresser. They were just pajamas... He frowns in disappointment then looks at the closet door. 'Oh?' He walks over and opens the door then enters the closet and turning on the light after he closes the door behind him.

Jeremy looks at the hung up clothes then down at the shoes. His frown turns into a smile as he walks over to some of your dresses. 'Beautiful...' He grabs one and looks at it. 'This would look so good on her... I wonder if she'll put it on for me someday.' He sniffs it and sighs. "Smells perfect, just like her..." He lets it go and sees another dresser but it was smaller. He opens the drawers, seeing panties and bras causing him to blush and look through the different colored panties. You really had a bunch of different ones. Same with the bras in the other drawer. He picks a blue one up. It was a pretty baby blue. 'I-I like this one...' He blushes more then glances at the door. He nervously stuffs it in his jacket pocket. 'I-I'm sure she won't mine...' Jeremy closes the drawers and looks around the closet more. He didn't steal anything else since he doesn't want you to notice anything missing.

He quietly leaves the closet after shutting off the closet light. He looks around the room once more before sneaking to the room door and leaving, closing the door behind him. He jumps when he hears someone clear their throat. Jeremy looks to his left with wide eyes and sees Mr. L/n with his arms folded. "What are you doing in there?" "O-oh, Mr. L/n!" Jeremy quickly puts his hands in his pocket, making sure the underwear wasn't showing in his pocket. "I thought I heard Y/n crying in her sleep since the door was cracked, so I wanted to see if she was ok." Jeremy comes up with a lie pretty quickly but gets nervous when the look on Mr. L/n's face showed he wasn't buying it.

"Were you snooping in my daughter's room?" Mr. L/n raises a brow causing Jeremy to get a little scared. To be honest, Mr. L/n was kind of intimidating to Jeremy. The fact that they were so similar was a little frightening. Jeremy wouldn't be surprised if he was the cause of Mrs. L/n's disappearance. Not to mention how tall Mr. L/n was... Jeremy's about 5'9. Mr. L/n, on the other hand, looks over 6'11... Close to Edwin's height, and even Edwin was shorter. This man is literally looking down on him. Mr. L/n frowns when he doesn't get an answer. "I'm not stupid, Jeremy." The man pulls off his reading glasses and glares at the short male in front of him. "Jeremy Riel, correct?" "Ah-" "Don't play stupid, I know what you're trying to do. You're some creep who thought it would be easy to sneak into a young lady's room and take whatever's hers for your own wants, right?" "N-no, I-" "Don't." Mr. L/n looks away in disappointment. "I know more than you think, orphan child." He looks back at Jeremy and Jeremy tenses up causing Mr. L/n to smirk. "Yeah, we've both done our research. Get back to the living room and stay in there. Next time I see you up and about, I'll throw your ass outside in the cold." "Yes, sir." Jeremy keeps his head low with a huge frown on his face and his fists clenched tightly. He turns and leaves, going back to the living room and laying down on the couch.

Jeremy pulls out his phone and goes to his photos. Yeah, he was an orphan. He used to have parents. He even had a little sister. Bad luck really knows how get around though because next thing you know, Jeremy wakes up alone in a hospital bed only to find out his family's dead and he's sent out on his own. That was four years ago... Maybe that was the reason for his bad behavior now. Jeremy sighs and goes through the old photos, seeing his family. He locks the phone and places it on the coffee table. "Goodnight, family..." He whispers and turns on his side then closes his eyes and falls asleep.

Meanwhile, Mr. L/n opens your room door to check if you were ok. Once he saw you peacefully sleeping, he sighs in relief and closes the door again. Mr. L/n shakes his head in disappointment. 'How dare he have the guts to do such a thing. Let him do it again.' He clenches his fists. 'I dare him.' Mr. L/n goes back to his room.

Morning comes and Jeremy leaves early. He said something about a family emergency? You tried to ask if everything was ok but he avoided it and left. 'Hopefully we're still going to the beach today...' You sigh as you watch Jeremy close the door behind him.
