A few days pass after that fun day at the beach and, sadly, the weather was back to its cold Autumn self. Only difference here was your father going on a date with someone who just so happens to be Ashter's mom. Right now, you're listening to Ashter and your dad talking about the date. They were both equally cold towards the woman...
"Yeah, I'm not giving that a second go." Your father rolls his eyes. "I bet. Self-centered bitch probably only talked about herself the whole time." Ashter grumbles in annoyance.
You sigh and shake your head. Well at least you get to chat with Ashter in person again. You both have been texting a little every now and then but he's been busy with something. You guessed it was that boy he talked about at the beach taking up his time.
"I mean, I would say one day she'll wake up and come to understand that there are OTHER people in this world, but uh... I'm no liar." Ashter folds his arms and smirks. "Trash stays trash, after all. No matter what angle it's looked at." "Well, she did talk about you when I brought up Y/n. She went on about how you were single and was looking for a girlfriend." "HA!" Ashter slams his fist on the table as he gets up from his seat. "That bitch REALLY thinks that would work, huh?! I bet that's why I was brought here today! Sucks to be her, I already KNEW Y/n! She. Knows. I'm GAY!" "Pride all the way." You both fist pump and your father shakes his head. "That's a relief... I wasn't looking forward to giving my daughter to some stranger with a bitch of a mother anyway."
You look at your phone when you get a message. "Oh?" You get up. "Whelp, you two have fun." "Where are you going?" They both look at you and ask in sync. "Well, Jeremy texted me. He wants to hangout." "Ugh." Your father leans back in his seat as he rolls his eyes. "Doesn't he ALWAYS want to?" "I don't mind." You smile. "Well, ok. We'll see you later then!" Ashter waves goodbye as you head out.
Your father was right, Jeremy has been asking to spend time with you a lot lately. He'd also be sure to add in 'without Edwin'. Now that you think about it, Jeremy's been more clingy than usual as well...
You walk out of the house after putting on your shoes and see Jeremy waiting there patiently for you. His blank expression turns into a soft smile when he sees you. "I have somewhere special I want to take you today, Y/n." "Oh, really?" You walk over to him with a smile and he nods. He grabs your hand and you both start to walk. The way he was acting lately has been strange... Like, more romantic? Except he's acting like you both are already in a relationship.
The walk was quiet but comfortable as you both walked to the location. When you both stop, you see a house. "Huh?" You look at him in confusion and he returns the look with another smile. "This is my house, Y/n." "Oh!" Your eyes widen and you look back at it. He actually didn't live that far... How strange though, he's never been so open like this... He leads you to the door and opens it, letting you walk in first. "It's a nice place." You look around as he walks in and closes the door behind him. "It's alright." He shrugs then looks at you. "We'll have a better one, won't we?" "We?" You look at him with a shocked expression and he nods. "Well, yeah. We." He walks away as if what he just said was normal. You awkwardly follow him as he shows you around the house.
You don't see many photos except of his aunt and all the places she's traveled. It's kind of sad though... Jeremy was in none of them. "Where are your parents?" You look away from the photos and he stops walking for a second. "Dead." He continues to walk and you keep your mouth shut the rest of the time.
The last place he shows you is his room in which he also invited you inside. You look around the room. It was pretty plain, actually... The walls were a boring white and he had a bed and computer set up with a closet next to it. Even your boring room was better than this. "So..." You look at him and see him sit down on the bed. He pats the side next to him and you sit beside him. Silence fills the air as he thinks about what he should say next until finally he speaks. "Y/n," He looks at you and you return the look with a curious one. Seeing your face cause him to smile a little. "I really like you." "Oh?" You tilt your head a bit. "I-" "No." He covers your mouth. "I love you." He moves his hand away and you keep quiet with wide eyes.
Jeremy leans closer to you as he continues to stare into your eyes. "Don't even ask if I'm sure. I love you. I want my future to be you and you only. We will have a better home. Hell, if you want to, we'll make a family." "J-Jeez, Jer, I-I don't know what to say..." You lean back since he was leaning too close but this only causes him to lean closer until you were laying back on the bed and he was on top. "How do you feel?" He continues to stare at you making you feel a little nervous. "W-well, uh..." You start to think about it.
Jeremy is a very nice guy... He's always helping you out and whatnot and he sounds true to his word... You shyly look back up at him. "I-I guess we could give this a go, yeah?" "Yes." He leans closer and rests his forehead on yours. "I love you so much..." He whispers and closes his eyes causing you to blush. "T-this is all new to me, Jeremy. You're gonna have to give me some time to get used to it." "Take all the time you need, it's ok." He smiles and opens his eyes. "I promise you will be the happiest.." "T-thank you..." You smile nervously and hear your phone. You try to take it out of your pocket but Jeremy was quicker. 'Tch.' He glares at the name lit up on the screen. "Who is it?" You question and he shakes is head as he tosses the phone. "It's just your dad but we're busy so he's going to have to wait." Jeremy lies. "Oh... Ok." You blush more when Jeremy gets closer for a kiss.
Meanwhile at Edwin's house,
"Oh, c'mon..." Edwin grumbles as he stares at his phone. "She usually always picks up..." "Edwin, dear. Can you go to the store and get spaghetti sauce? I forgot to earlier." "Yes, mom." Edwin gets up from the dining room chair and leaves the house with an annoyed expression. 'She must be with Jeremy or something.'
