Chapter 8: The beach.

   After Jeremy left, you decide to go back into your room and get ready for the beach just in case. It took about an hour to get ready since you took your sweet time looking pretty in your swimsuit. Might as well since you're not getting in the water, right? Once you were done, you text Edwin if we were still going to the beach. It takes him a while to reply but he replies with a 'yes'. "Yay." You smile and reply with a 'when?' 'Two hours.' "Awe." You pout. Two hours?? That's too long... Oh well... 'Let's go see what dad's up to!' You smile and leave your room.

  You go to the living room where you see your father watching TV. "What'cha watching?" You question and he looks at you. "Chea-" His eyes widen. "Um, excuse me? What's with all the skin reveal?" "We're going to the beach." You sit on the couch next to him and he frowns. "We?" "Me, Jeremy, and Edwin." 'Ugh, of course.' Mr. L/n looks away in annoyance. "If a guy tries to touch you, break his hands." He looks back at the TV with an annoyed expression and you nod. "Ok, Dad." "Good girl." He smiles and pats your head. "Now, while you wait for those idiots you can hangout with dad." He gives a thumbs up and you lean back. "Ok! Put something better on though. I hate the TV show Cheaters." "Boo." He pouts and changes the channel.

  Two hours pass and Edwin knocks on the door. "I got it." You get up and open the door, seeing Edwin and Jeremy in Summer outfits. "It really is hot today, huh?" Edwin chuckles and you nod. "Somehow, yeah." "Whelp, let's go!" Edwin turns and heads towards his truck. "Edwin, you can drive?!" Your eyes widen and you rush over. He looks at you. "Huh? Oh, yeah. I got my license last year." "Whoa..." You look at the nice truck. "You really take care of it." "Hell yeah." He hops in the driver's seat. You go back inside and grab your bag. "Alright, I'll be off!" You hug your dad then leave. You sit in the back of the four door truck since Jeremy took the passenger's seat.

  It takes about 30 minutes to get to the beach but you all finally make it there and you all hop out. "Finally!" Edwin stretches and finally looks at your outfit causing his eyes to widen and his face to burn red. "A-ah..." You don't notice as you walk to the truck bed and grab some foldable chairs. "This is gonna be fun!" You smile at Edwin then finally notice the red face. "Are you ok?" You question. He starts talking but most of it was a whole bunch a random, like he was having a hard time trying to get out what he wanted to tell you. Eventually you hear a 'you're beautiful' along with all the other chaos causing you to blush and smile more. "Thank you!" And with that, you head off to the beach. Edwin smiles once he knew you understood what he was trying to say. Jeremy walks over with his chair and glares at Edwin. "Remember the rule, Ed. She's not yours." Jeremy says then follows you. Edwin frowns and rolls his eyes before following behind. 'Yeah, yeah, whatever.'

  The three of you find a spot and set up the beach stuff. The beach was pretty empty today which was nice. You'd think people would take this day as an advantage to have some Summer fun before Winter came, but no... You sit on your towel and sigh as you stare out into the water. It was so beautiful... The sounds, the scenery, the warm sun. It felt so relaxing. Maybe someday you'll buy a house on the beach? Maybe.

  Jeremy pulls out his phone and takes a picture of you then shows Edwin. "Look at that. She's so distracted in the beach's beauty." "You know you can just ask for pictures, right? You don't have to secretly take them..." Edwin frowns and Jeremy shakes his head. "No. The picture won't be genuine. The whole 'smile for the camera' makes it feel like an act! I love the genuine feeling in the pictures!" He puts away his phone. "Whatever..." Edwin rolls his eyes with a sigh. "She looks so pretty today." Edwin changes the subject and Jeremy nods. "Then again she's pretty everyday." Jeremy adds on and Edwin nods in agreement.

  You look at them since you felt like you were being talked about. "What are you guys whispering to each other about?" "Nothing." They both say in sync and you raise a brow. "Better not be lying." "Nah, we're not." Edwin smiles and you sigh. "Alright." You look back into the water. "I have to use the bathroom." Jeremy gets up and looks at Edwin. "Take care of her while I'm gone." "Tch, I was gonna anyway..." Edwin grumbles as Jeremy leaves.

  Jeremy searches for a bathroom but isn't able to find one. "Damn..." He keeps searching until he accidentally bumps into someone. "Oh, my apologies!" Jeremy looks at the tall man he accidentally bumped into. The man had somewhat of a Russian accent... "It's ok. Do you know where the bathroom is?" "The bathroom? Hm.." The man thinks then points somewhere. "Should be that direction." "Alright, thanks." And with that, Jeremy leaves but he doesn't notice the male staring at him as he left. "My, what a cutie..~" The man mumbles and starts heading towards the beach. Jeremy finally finds and bathroom and quickly does his business so he can hurry back to you and Edwin. 

  He starts to head back after washing his hands then sees the guy from before was now sitting next to you and Edwin. 'What the hell?' Jeremy frowns and walks over.  "Who's this?" "Oh, this is Ashter!" You look at Jeremy and smile. Ashter looks at Jeremy and gasps. "Oh, it's you again! Hi!" "Hi..." Jeremy grumbles as he glares at the poor innocent male. 

  "So, anyway, as I was saying..." Ashter looks back at you, gaining your attention once again. "My mother doesn't approve of my opinions. She says I 'still don't understand myself'." Ashter rolls his eyes. "Like, I know what I like, ya know?? I'm an adult now, for goodness sake!" "Yeah!" You nod in agreement. Jeremy raises a brow then looks at Edwin who sighs. "He's gay." Edwin responds to the look and Jeremy makes an 'o' with his lips. "I was hoping there would be a lot of hot guys today..." Ashter pouts then looks at Jeremy and Edwin. "I guess two's enough." "Uh-" Edwin's eyes widen and Jeremy rolls his eyes. "I'm straight." "Same!" Edwin quickly adds on and Ashter fakes a dramatic sigh. "Oh, how unfortunate..." He lays back and covers his face with his hands. "Oh, poor me..." "So dramatic." You giggle and he looks at you with a smile then sits back up. "I like you, we're friends!" He hugs you and you blush in surprise. "O-oh?" "Yes, you've been forced into this." Ashter gives a thumbs up and you smile. "Ok. I don't mind since you're pretty cool."

  Ashter looks at Jeremy then winks causing Jeremy to frown and look away with his arms folded. "Oh, poo." Ashter pouts. "How boring..." "Yeah, Jeremy's the chill one..." You sigh. "If you want more of a reaction, bug Edwin." "Ayo, don't give him ideas!!" Edwin frowns causing you and Ashter to laugh a little. "Nah, I like the small ones~" Ashter smirks as he kept looking at Jeremy then looks back at you. "Actually, now that I mention it..." Ashter mumbles then pulls out his phone. "I met a guy at a coffee shop the other day. Oh, he's the purest soul..." Ashter sighs with a smile as he remembers meeting the guy, but then he frowns sadly. "But he left so quickly, I didn't get a chance to ask for his name or number..." "Oh." You pout. "Well, you remember what he looks like so that's good! Next time you see him, talk to him again!" "Yeah, he looked to be in a hurry that day... Guess he was late for work..." Ashter sadly shakes his head then looks at the two boys who were talking to each other about something.

  "Well, anyway, it was really nice meeting you." Ashter looks back at you with a smile. "Yeah. I'm glad I met you too!" "Also, I will not make the same mistake again!" He frowns and pulls out a marker then grabs your arm, writing his number. "There!" He smiles and gets up. "Whelp, I should be on my way! I have more men to encounter! It's like Pokémon, I'm gonna catch em' all!" He chuckles and you roll your eyes. "More like Pokémen when you talk about it..." "Hah! Ok, well, I'll cya!" Ashter leaves with a wave and you happily wave back. "Bye-bye!!"

  Jeremy frowns more when Ashter walks over to him. "That's a farewell to you too~" He pokes Jeremy's nose. Jeremy swats away his hand causing Ashter to chuckle. "Ok, ok. I'll leave you alone." He walks away. "Good." Jeremy glares at him since he didn't like him too much. "Why does he like me?" Jeremy looks at Edwin and Edwin shrugs with a smirk. "He likes small guys." "Tch." Jeremy rolls his eyes. "I'm not that  small." "I dunno... I mean... You're a lot smaller than all the other guys around Y/n, so..." "Well, here's an idea!" Jeremy glares at Edwin. "Stop. Growing!" He flicks Edwin's forehead gaining an 'ow!' from the poor man. "Rude..." Edwin rubs his painful forehead and you shake your head in disappointment. "Play nice, you two." "Ok, Mom." They both say in sync sarcastically then look at each other. "How many times are we going to do that?" Jeremy questions and Edwin shrugs. "Two great minds think alike?" "No." Jeremy looks away with an annoyed expression. "There's nothing great about your brain. "Uh, ouch." Edwin frowns and you sigh since they were getting boring. "Alright, I'm out." You get up and grab your stuff then head back to the truck. "Yo, wait for us!" Edwin quickly gets up and follows you after he grabs his stuff. Jeremy quietly does the same.
