That's Edwin Marl.

The next day comes and you were quickly off to school. You leave an hour early every morning since your parents are up by the time your bus used to get there. You didn't like your parents... Your mother is an alcoholic and your father is just creepy. Sometimes he'll look at his wife and wish her dead then play it off as a joke. Who the hell jokes like that?!
You get to school 30 minutes early so you stand by the gate and higher up the volume of your ear buds as you listen to music and look up at the breezy morning sky. The 30 minutes pass pretty quickly and the gates open. As you walk in, you see buses all making their way in as well. You head straight towards the cafeteria since you were hungry. Once you got your breakfast, you went right back outside but to the back this time. The back was a big gated area where people could relax and eat outside. You go straight to your favorite tree somewhere far from where people usually chill, then you sit down next to it and pick up the breakfast pizza then took a bite. This school serves the best damn breakfast pizza. Wish you could say the same about the lunch pizza though, but todays Tuesday and... Well, you know, Taco Tuesday.
You place down the pizza after about two more bites then you pull out a book. You've been reading this book for about two weeks now. It's a romantic fantasy book called "Witch's Heart" about a witch and a human. It's got a whole series so you plan on getting it sometime in the future. As you ate your breakfast, you read your book.
You tense up when you hear leaves crunching on the Autumn ground, but you don't look in that direction. As a matter of fact, you try to ignore it as the crunching got louder. Your heartbeat was fast and you could feel your hand shake a little as you ate an apple slice. Finally, the crunching stopped and you hear a male's voice right beside you as he said 'Hello'. You look up in confusion since the voice sounded a little familiar but not from this school... You stare at the male in front of you then blush a little bit when he points out your staring. "So, are you gonna say hi or keep staring at me?" "U-uh, s-sorry..." You look down at you book and awkwardly scratch the back of your head. You look back up at him and give a shy smile. "Hi."
The male sits next to you but not too close since he sensed you were already uncomfortable around him. "I'm Jeremy." He suddenly speaks and you grab your bookmark and place it in the book then close the book. "I'm-" "Y/n, I know." You get interrupted. You look at him with furrowed eyebrows as you stare at him with the look of confusion. "How?" "Uh, you're pretty popular around here." Jeremy nervously chuckles. "Not in a good way..." "Oh... Makes sense." You sigh and lean back on the tree.
"So, are you new?" You continue to look at him and he nods. "Yeah. I come from an all boy's school nearby here. My mother couldn't afford it anymore so here I am." "Oh, ok. Well, welcome." You give a welcoming smile and he nods. "Thank you. So..." He looks away. "Who exactly hates you here?" He questions then looks back at you. You put your book in your backpack and frown, "The cheerleaders, football team, drama club." You look back at him. "Everyone." "Why do they not like you?" "Honestly..." You pick up the little bag of apple slices. "I'd like to know the same. I used to be friends with the leader of the cheerleaders. Next thing you know it, she hates my guts and she's bringing everyone else with her." You say as you pull out an apple slice and eat it. "Oh..." Jeremy sighs and you both hear the bell ring. "C'mon. I'll walk you to class in case someone decides to bully you." He gets up. You quietly get up and follow, throwing your trash away as you walk to class.
You both make it to your class and he pulls out his schedule then shows you. "Know where that teacher is?" He points at the first class on the paper. "Oh, we're both here!" You look into the class then back at him with a smile. "Oh." He smiles and you both head inside. You head to the back where you usually sit then sit down in your seat. As you sat there, you were deep in thought. Why was that kid so nice to you? Sure, he was new so it's not really like he knew you much to judge you... But with a lot of kids already hating you, you'd think he would just follow along with them so he wouldn't get bullied or something. You didn't notice Jeremy walk over and sit in the left seat of you since he didn't want to sit near anyone else. That meant your right seat was empty. Well, was. It was quickly taken by a male named Edwin Marl who rushed to the seat since another student was about to take it. "Nuh-uh. Mine." Edwin smirks at the girl who was about to sit there. "Darn it, Ed!" She whines and angrily walks off to find another seat.
You roll your eyes and look at Edwin as he puts his backpack on his desk and unzips it. Edwin was an interesting character. He was a bully, a good person, and then some quiet asshole who'd keep to himself. Whatever he decided to be. He's also the boyfriend of the leader of the cheerleading group... "Damn, you'd think this school would have lockers by now, huh?" Edwin chuckles then looks at you. You just roll your eyes once more then look down at your desk. Edwin pouts then pulls out the necessary books for this class, tossing the backpack next to his chair once he was done with it. You go into your backpack and pull out the book you need as well just as the teacher walks in causing the class to quiet down a little.
Time goes a little quicker today with Edwin keeping to himself, which is kind of odd since he'd like to find a way to bug the hell out of you for some reason almost everyday, and you were helping Jeremy with any questions he had. Eventually, class ends and you pack up your stuff. "Where's Ms. Melon?" Jeremy questions and shows you his schedule. "Oh, just across from this classroom actually." "Oh, ok. I'll see you later then." And with that, Jeremy was off. As for you, you go straight towards the nearby bathroom. You really don't like using the bathroom at school since the toilets are all gross and the bullies will sometimes follow you, but damn when you gotta go then you gotta go!
You quickly go into one of the stalls and close the door. After using the bathroom, you go to the sink and use the soap machine to put soap in your hand. You sigh and look up at the mirror as you wash your hands in the sink. 'It's so hard to love a person nobody else could look at and love.' You smile sadly and hold back tears. You hear the heavy bathroom door open causing you to tense up.
"Well, well, well, look who it is, girls!" You hear an annoyingly familiar voice speak so you look to your left where you see Amanda, Emily, and Sasha. Emily was Edwin's girl while the other two were just her annoying little followers. "I saw you next to him again." Emily walks over to you with the look of hatred and jealousy. "Look, Emily, he chooses to sit there. If you have a problem, talk to him about it." You go over to the paper towels and take some. "Tch, oh please. I bet you love when he sits by you. I see you two play around in class."
You hide a frown as you stare down while drying your hands. "Then get your man, you insecure bitch." You glare at her and she takes a step back in surprise. "Uh, ex-fucking-cuse me?!" "Oh, I didn't stutter." You throw away the paper towel then fold your arms and she clenches her fists; but just as her anger came, it disappears as she smirks with a snap of her fingers. "Girls?"
Sasha and Amanda smirk as they walk over to you and grab your arms. "No!!" You try to escape them but they tighten their grip causing their long nails to dig into your skin. You wince in pain and they hold you in place as Emily walks over to you. She leans her face close to yours and starts to speak, "Nobody gets away with talking back to me, Hoe." And with that, she punches you in the stomach. You gasp as the air gets knocked out of you. You weakly look back up at her with the look of hatred. If looks could kill, she'd be dead on the floor by now. "Now, let me see you with him again, hm?" Emily flicks your forehead and the ladies drop you causing you to fall to your knees. "It'll be worse than just a tiny punch." Emily grabs your backpack and unzips it. "Oh, right. And just a little farewell gift from me to you~" She pokes your nose when she says 'you' then goes to one of the toilets and dumps the stuff in it. After, she drops the bag and leaves with her friends.
You hear the bell ring just as the door closes but you don't hurry like you should. You go to the toilet and take the stuff out. 'Shit...' You hold in tears. Your books, binder, and notebooks were all soaked. Luckily your pencils and stuff were in a protective pencil case. You angrily put the stuff back in your bag and leave the bathroom angrily as you walk to your next class, ignoring the cold water dripping from your backpack. You ignore the low giggles and whispers from people you walk past as they also headed to class. You even ignore the male with his hands in his jacket pockets as he stared at you while you left.
Jeremy calmly watches you. 'So, those girls are the problem, hm?' Jeremy keeps a poker face though he was pretty pissed off. 'I'll get the job done.' Jeremy smiles and starts walking to class. 'I'll make sure all your problems... Melt away.'
