Sunday comes and Jeremy's all alone in his living room. You had decided to spend time with your father all day today and Edwin had stuff to do with his family too. Jeremy, on the other hand, didn't really have family. Well, he lives with his aunt but she travels non-stop and has him take care of the house while she's gone. She never calls or anything, just sends him money for food. Jeremy was once in an all boy's school she forced him into, she doesn't know he changed schools yet.

Jeremy sighs and leans back as he stares at the photo in his hands. It was a nice photo of him and his family many years ago. His father; Jacob, mother; Rosie, and little sister; Tanisha. Ever since he lost them, he hasn't been the same... He's been distant from people and the world. He hardly ever felt much and being alone here doesn't help... He got tired of crying and missing them. Jeremy closes his eyes as he starts to remember when this all started.

  "..Everything.."

.

  "Normal.."

.

'Huh..?' Jeremy slowly opens his eyes and sees two doctors talking. "Well that's good." A lady writes something down then looks at him. Her eyes widen, "He's awake!" The other doctor, another lady, looks at him with the same shocked expression and the first doctor hurries out so Jeremy puts his attention back on the other doctor.

"Hello, Mr. Riel, I'm Dr. Faith." The lady smiles. "How are you feeling?" "Umm..." Jeremy weakly looks around then back at her. "I'm alive... I guess..." The lady nods happily. "You are! Mr. Riel, you have been in a coma for about 3 months now." "I-I have..?" Jeremy's eyes widen and he tries to sit up but he was too weak so Dr. Faith helps lift the back of the hospital bed up for him. "Where's my family..?" He looks at the doctor with worry and she looks away with a sudden sad expression. "Mr. Riel, I'm so sorry..."

"And you said you've stopped having those nightmares about the car crash?" Ryan, Jeremy's therapist, asks and Jeremy responds with a lie. "Yes." "Have you been feeling anything else?" "No." "Hm.." Ryan writes the information down and nods. "So you feel as if you're getting over it?" "Yes." Jeremy continues to lie. Truth is, he just doesn't want to talk about it anymore. He wants to be left alone in his own world not talking to someone about it. They both hear a 'ding' and Ryan looks at Jeremy with a smile. "Well, that is our time for today, Mr. Riel. I'll see you Friday. I've got to say, I'm impressed with the sudden improvement." "Yep." Jeremy gets up and leaves without even a goodbye.

Jeremy opens his eyes and looks around. He gets up and heads into his room where he sees photos of you around. Something about you just brought something out of him. Maybe it's that alive feeling you show. You're honest, you're open, and always show some spark of joy in your eyes regardless of the misery going on around you. Maybe he's obsessed because he missed that feeling of joy... Well, he feels joy around you now actually. He's been more alive than he's ever been since the incident.

Jeremy looks at his phone when he gets a notification noise. He smiles when he sees it was Edwin saying he wasn't busy with his family anymore. Well, he wasn't you... But he was still good enough to distract Jeremy from this horrible nightmare he's reliving today. Jeremy changes to some outside clothes, grabs his phone, and leaves the house.
