Chapter 8 – Lost School

“Has anyone ever told you that you're too beautiful?”

“Yeah. Don't you remember me talking about those fakes from my world?”

“Your world? You talk as if you come from some different dimension or something.”

“Yeah. Because I do.”

I stared down at her blank expression. She's serious...which means...Are you for real?! A different world?! That's too much!! What the hell is wrong with today?!

“Blaze.”

“Huh?”

“When do you plan on getting off? You're heavy...”

I blushed. H-How can she say that with such a straight face?!

I awoke to the annoying alarm clock. As I slammed my hand against it to shut it up, I wished with all I had that I could sleep some more. But, no. Today I had to go to school and I couldn't be late. Even though I dreaded the new day, which would probably be another one ruined by that sadistic doll, I still had to get up. At least she wouldn't be at school...

I sat up on my bed groggily, though that didn't last long. I looked around the room, expecting to see the dreaded doll. My eyes went wide as I was now wide awake and completely shocked. She's gone...Gone! Gone! Yes! I suddenly got up and started jumping on my bed like a little kid. Yesssssss!!!!!!!! Did she finally get a clue after me throwing her away last night? And then...

But, I suddenly stopped as I remembered what happened last night. I felt as my cheeks grew hot as I blushed. T-That was nothing! I was too tired...So my brain wasn't working right. Yes! That's definitely it! Definitely...

I shook any feeling of uncertainty out of my head as I went to get ready for school.

I entered the school, heading straight for my locker. I smiled as I felt happiness overflowing at my new found freedom.

“Hey.” Jessie said as I reached my locker, which was next to his.

“Hey!” I said happily, still smiling like a Cheshire cat.

“Uh...What's wrong with you today?”

“Wrong? Nothing!”

“Then, why are you smiling so much?”

“You say that as if I don't normally smile...”

“Because you don't?”

I glared at him.

“Haha! That's the Blaze I know!”

“Huh? What's with everyone and thinking I have to be mad to be me?”

“Everyone? Who else said that?” Something seemed to click in his head as she smiled devilishly at me, “Finally found a girl? Was it at the club last night?”

“I didn't!” I said blushing, remembering last night with the sadistic doll. The doll I would probably never see again...

“Huh? Haha! Why do you look sad?”

“First you think its weird for me to be happy, now its weird for me to be sad?! And what's with everyone and laughing at my sadness?!”

“Someone actually dared to laugh at you when you were sad? Dude, you've gotta introduce us!”

“I won't! Shit...You totally ruined my mood already!”

“Good! 'Cause a happy you is too creepy...”
