Chapter 2 - Lost Human
Don't think about it. Don't think about it. Don't think about it. Don't think about it. I SAID DON'T THINK ABOUT IT DAMMIT!!!
“Ow!”
I pulled my hand back from the locker I had just so angrily banged it on.
“W-What are you doing?”
Turning my head slowly to the side, eyes glaring, I met the eyes of my best friend, Jesse, who looked scared out of his pants. Am I that scary...? I just continued glaring at him with a blank expression.
“Dude, you're freaking me out. What's wrong?”
I sighed despairingly, thinking about my cruel fate and the possibility of my going crazy, “You wouldn't understand.”
“Of course I won't! Cause I'm stupid...”
“Yep!”
“Don't just agree with me!”
I sighed again, “I can't help it. I'm going crazy after all.”
Jesse obviously didn't get me, and just stared at me as if I really had gone crazy. More proof against me!
“Hey, Blaze~!”
Ugh...That annoying voice...Why now...? Why is my fate so cruel? Can't I have one day in peace?
I turned by head casually, my eyes meeting something they really wished they hadn't. I bet she looks super ugly without all that make-up on...
“Hey.” My voice came out casual and with completely no interest. Would this girl ever get a clue and leave me alone?
You may not have noticed before because of my craziness and the fact that I was called “sir,” but I'm actually pretty popular, as in really really popular, to the point of attracting girls like this one that annoy the hell out of me and never get a clue no matter what I do. Sigh. Life is truly cruel. What's so good about me any way? Why the hell go after me? Isn't there some other prey?
“So, where did you go last night? I really missed you!”
I didn't though...Wow. This girl is so fake with all that make-up on...Maybe she'd actually look better without it. She continued talking in that annoying voice, and I'm not saying this because I think she looks fake. Her voice is really the most annoying I have ever heard. I bet that doll's voice wouldn't be like this if she could talk...she also doesn't wear much make-up, and she'd definitely be the prettiest girl I have ever seen if she were real! Even better that those celebrities...Wait! What the hell am I doing? Am I comparing a doll to a human? And even calling it pretty? And thinking what it's voice would be like? What the hell is wrong with me?!
“W-What's wrong?” Cassie flinched in fright, waking me up from my craze filled thoughts. What's wrong with everyone today? Am I really that scary?
I sighed, “It's nothing. I'm just tired. Anyway, I gotta go to class.” So, I just left her there, staring into space with a stupid expression.
Jesse quickly followed after me, “Hey! What's wrong with you today? Even though I know how you hate Cassie, you normally just ignore her or something. But, wow! That glare was so intense! I bet she is scared for life. I wouldn't be surprised if she left you alone now!”
I quickly stopped my quick-paced walking with a start, and turned to Jessie with a blessed expression, “Really~?”
“Dude, you're really freaking me out today.”
