Chapter 3 – Lost Wall
A dream. A dream. A dream. A dream...It's definitely a dream, dammit!!!
I sighed in despair. Who am I kidding? I can't even convince myself! It really was a hallucination! Which means...
“Dude, what's with you? Yesterday and today...You've been super weird!”
I just stared at him blankly, “I'm going crazy after all.”
“Don't say that which such a straight face! Seriously...”
“I can't help it, since I'm going crazy.”
“Oh, really? You are?” Jesse played along.
I just nodded seriously, my expression blank, which seemed to irritate him...Have I been influencing him? He didn't use to get angry as easily as me...I suddenly shivered, remembering what that “hallucination” had said yesterday night.
“Your delayed reactions and sudden bursts of anger are truly cute!”
“Hm? Dude...Haha...Are you blushing? Why?”
“I'm not!!!!” I burst out in anger.
“Uh? Ok...?”
And then to make things even worse...I remembered what happened after that.
Flashback
“What are you doing?!”
“Hm?” She looked up at me with innocent violet eyes, “Going to sleep!”
“On my bed?! Do dolls even need sleep?!”
“But, I'm not a doll. Plus...”
“What now?!”
She giggled, “You're reactions are so funny...Hehe. But...”
“What?!”
“You didn't seem to mind yesterday.”
“Wha-” Then, I suddenly remembered waking up to a doll on my bed...I blushed deep red, “How dare you?!!!!”
“Ah. He's angry. Teehee.”
“Don't 'teehee' me! You don't even need sleep, do you? You stupid doll!”
“Well, that is true...”
“Then just go to a shelf or something!”
“Che! You're so mean. Don't you feel bad about treating a fragile girl like that?”
“What is so fragile about you, you sadistic doll?”
“I'm made of porcelain!”
I just stared at her serious face blankly. She's really serious, isn't she? But, her serious face is cute too...Wait! Stop right there me! Don't even go there!
“Anyway, if all the other dolls can take it, so can you!”
“But, I'm not a doll! I'm human.”
“Humans aren't made of porcelain.”
Her fierce violet gaze seemed to pierce through me. It was just a few seconds, but my resolve almost faltered from it's intensity. But, before I could do anything, her expression suddenly changed as she smirked at me.
“Fine. But, since I'm like all the other dolls...You won't mind if I happen to stare at you with my fake glassy eyes all night, right? Of course not! Since you're a strong man, right? There's no way you're scared of a fragile porcelain doll like me!”
