a late night

Looking up at the ceiling is something I do when I'm sad. I'll just lay on the couch or in my bed and stare, sometimes with tears sometimes not.
But that's not the case right now. Right now I just can't sleep worth a shit so I'm staring up at the white ceiling of mine and Chase's bedroom.

The rain pounded on the window and I close my eyes trying to get just a little bit of sleep.

I look over at Chase, peacefully sleeping. Lucky I thought to myself. Still cute though. Obviously.

I smile to myself and move closer to him. His body feels warm against mine and it makes me feel safe. I lay my head on his chest and listen to the rhythmic beat of his heart, Instantly feeling calmer.

It startles me just a little when his warm hand grazed my arm and kept rubbing. I smile to myself once again and nuzzle Into the crook of his neck.

"Mmm, you okay?" He asks on his adorable sleepy tone before kissing my forehead lightly, making me blush a little, thank God he can't see my face.

"Never better" I say and lift my head up slightly so I can see his face. His eyes close from him being so tired and I kiss him on the cheek before laying my head back to it's previous place.

"I'm gonna marry you one day chase hudson" I whispered, mainly to myself since I thought he was asleep. He wasn't.

"Damn straight mamas" he said while rolling to face me.

My hands immediately go up to my face, shielding them so he couldn't see my face which is probably looking like a tomato right about now.

He chuckled and gently pulled my hands down but I pointedly avoided eye contact.

"Y/n look at me" he said and I knew he was grinning before I even looked up, and I was proven correctly when I did look up. He had the stupidest but cutest grin on his face.

"I thought you were asleep" I said quietly while looking in his eyes, still involuntary but loving it nonetheless. He's so pretty.

"It's ok babygirl," he said while pulling my to his chest and wrapping his arms around my waist, "I planned on it anyways"

I smiled to myself. "Good night Chase" I murmer.

"Night y/n"

I finally fell asleep shortly after with a smile on my face I'm sure, knowing I was safe and loved, knowing how lucky I am to be able to call Chase mine.
