THE NEXT FEW DAYS isabella watched how percy got settled into a new routine, having greek with annabeth and sometimes chiron taught him archery, something that went horrible but that's another thing.

now it was a sunny afternoon, isabella was with travis at the sword-fighting class luke was giving. enjoying her time with the stoll brother while the other people got ready to watch luke.

"okay campers!" the blonde boy said with a smile. "i chose percy to be my partner for today's practice."

say what?

isabella watched percy get up while holding a sword that was definitely not for him.

"good luck," one of the campers told percy. "luke's the best swordsman in the last three hundred years."

"maybe he'll go easy on me."

the camper snorted.

luke showed some thrusts and parries and shield blocks the hard way. with every swipe, isabella saw how bruised percy was getting.

"keep your guard up, percy." luke said. "no, not that far up!" whap! "lunge!" whap! "now, back!" whap!

by the time luke called a break, percy was soaked in sweat. everybody swarmed the drinks cooler. isabella decided to go with percy.

"hey, don't worry if you get hurt by luke, he's not that nice when it comes to sword-fighting." the girl smiled at him causing percy to blush.

"yeah, it's okay." he played with his hair trying to look disinterested.

the boy poured water to his head. he then took a look at isabella, noticing how she was looking at his sword.

"you haven't found a sword that fits you, right?"

"no, but luke told me that the kids from the hephaestus cabin can make me one."

isabella smiled at the name of hephaestus.

"oh yeah!" her eyes lightened. "my friend óscar, the one i talked to the other day when i was showing you the camp, is amazing at creating weapons. if you like i can go with you."

percy chose to not tell the girl that she talked with a million people the other day so he simply nodded.

"okay, everybody circle up!" luke ordered. "if percy doesn't mind, i want to give you a little demo."

"good luck." isabella whispered at him before patting him on the shoulder.

when she arrived at her place beside travis, she noticed how the boy was now serious.

"what's gotten into you?" the girl asked with a smile.

"nothing." travis brushed it off. "how's percy?"

"huh?" the girl frowned, confused. "i think he's alright, obviously tired. why?"

oh, clueless girl.

"this is difficult," luke stressed. "i've had it used against me. no laughing at percy, now. most swordsmen have to work years to master this technique."

luke demonstrated the move on percy in slow motion. sure enough, the sword clattered out of his hand.

"now in real time," he said, after percy retrieved his weapon. "we keep sparring until one of us pulls it off. ready, percy?"
