It had been almost ten years. Lilly was now a teenager and Gon had finished going to therapy. Mentally he was in a much better place. Lilly hadn't needed much because after a few years childhood amnesia took most of what she remembered of her other father's death. They lived together in a small apartment. Gon had finally started his vets office and it was starting to take off. Lilly was doing pretty well in school and was quite popular. She still had a social and kind personality.
Every weekend they went to visit Killua's grave. They had buried a picture of him because they didn't have the body. This weekend had a chilly breeze. It was starting to go into winter. Gon had brought roses this time. He replaced the wilted lilies that they had brought the last time during Lilly's birthday weekend.
Gon still teared up every time and Lilly stood solemnly behind him.
"I miss you so so much. I'll come visit you soon" Gon whispered under his breath as he and Lilly walked away.
